Reptile Smile, the Stockholm-born rock band that has been shaking the foundations of the European music scene since 1988, is back with their highly anticipated album Mark III, set for release on November 29, 2024, under Lions Pride Music. Formed in the late 80s by guitarist/songwriter Martin Karlegård and drummer Michel Maiden, Reptile Smile quickly rose to prominence after signing with CBS Records in 1989. Their debut single "Shove ‘em Down" and the album Automatic Cool propelled them into the limelight, with the track "2000 Miles" gaining heavy rotation on MTV. The follow-up album Who Makes the Rules in 1991, featuring the hit single "Wild Life," further established the band's place in the rock pantheon.

After a period of lineup changes, relentless touring, and eventual disbandment in the mid-90s, the band’s music continued to resonate with fans, leading to sporadic reunions and a renewed interest in their earlier work. This renewed interest culminated in a decision by Martin Karlegård in 2010 to re-record some of the band’s classic tracks with a new lineup, including Michel Maiden on drums, Andreas Karlegård on bass, and Fredrik Björk on guitar.

Mark III represents the culmination of this journey, blending the band’s classic sound with a modern edge. Recorded at Submob Studios in Stockholm and mixed and mastered by Martin Karlegård, the album is a sonic tribute to Reptile Smile’s enduring legacy. The lineup for Mark III includes Peter Schapiro on lead vocals, Martin Karlegård on guitars and backing vocals, Andreas Karlegård on bass and backing vocals, and Michel Maiden on drums, with guest appearances by Fredrik Björk and Jan Lissnils on lead and rhythm guitars.

The album’s production, overseen by Martin Karlegård, is a reflection of the band’s commitment to quality and authenticity. The front cover and layout, created by Chris Siloma for C.S.M.&P. Designs in Thessaloniki, and the band photos by Tallee Savage for Savage Beauty in Sollentuna, Sweden, perfectly capture the band’s aesthetic and the album's spirit.

Lions Pride Music signs for Digital Release of Finally on September 13, 2024!
Lions Pride Music is thrilled to announce the signing of 🇳🇴 Norwegian melodic rock band Stoneflower for the digital release of their critically acclaimed album, "Finally". Originally released in 2020 by AOR Heaven, "Finally" will now be available on all major digital platforms starting September 13, 2024.

Lions Pride Music is proud to partner with Stoneflower to bring this remarkable album to a wider audience. The digital release of Finally marks a new chapter for the band, allowing both longtime fans and new listeners to experience the magic of Stoneflower’s music.

Stoneflower biography:
Stoneflower is a Norwegian melodic rock band, deeply rooted in the AOR genre. Formed in 1996 by guitarist Tom Sennerud and vocalist Frode Henriksen, the band quickly expanded to include bassist Svenn Huneide. They soon enlisted experienced drummer Steinar Krokstad (Stage Dolls) and keyboardist Dag Bårdstu to complete their lineup.

Their debut album, "Crack A Little Smile", was released in 2003. The album featured the track "If You Say," with a music video that introduced Geir Johnny Huneide on drums. Following the departure of Jon Johannessen in 2005, Stoneflower experienced some changes, ultimately leading to a temporary split in 2010.

However, Tom Sennerud was determined to finish an album they had started before the split. This resulted in the 2014 release of "Destination Anywhere", which received critical acclaim, including being named “Best AOR Album of 2014” by Sweden Rock Magazine.

Encouraged by the success of "Destination Anywhere", Tom Sennerud and Svenn Huneide reignited Stoneflower with a new lineup. They found their new frontman in John Masaki, a standout talent from “Norwegian Idol.” To complete the group, they enlisted the skilled drummer Geir Johnny Huneide, Svenn’s brother, who brought his A.O.R. sensibilities to the band.

The subsequent album, Finally, was recorded primarily in Tom Sennerud’s studio, Late Night Music, with some drum tracks laid down at Leif Johansen’s (21 Guns, Phenomena, A-HA) Stable Studio. The album features guest performances by renowned musicians, including drummer Per Hillestad (Lava, A-Ha), guitarist Tommy Denander (Paul Stanley, Alice Cooper), keyboardist Bjørn Ole Rasch (Secret Garden), and guitarist Gunnar Westlie (Da Vinci).

Finally was Mixed by Trond Engebretsen and Tom Sennerud, and Mastered by JK Northrup, further solidifying Stoneflower's reputation as one of Norway's premier AOR bands. With a lineup of seasoned musicians and a history of producing critically acclaimed music, Stoneflower continues to captivate audiences with their melodic rock sound and heartfelt performances.

**Biography:**
In defiance of the 1990s music industry's attempt to dictate the terms of rock and roll, AFFÄIRE emerged as a beacon of unyielding spirit. Rejecting the notion that rock should be self-pitying and somber, this Portuguese band set out to redefine the genre's essence.

Their journey began in late 2011 with the release of their debut single "Born Too Late," a 7" vinyl limited to 300 hand-numbered copies. The momentum continued in 2013 with "Highway Affair," released solely in digital format.

In 2015, their inaugural full-length album, "At First Sight," was unleashed, marking a significant milestone. Two years later, the "Neon Gods" digipack-EP, featuring four new tracks and a distinctive rendition of The Beatles' "I Saw Her Standing There," was released.

AFFÄIRE's live performances, both in Portugal and abroad, including shared stages with icons such as Paul Di Anno, House Of Lords, Chris Holmes, and Grim Reaper, preceded the release of their groundbreaking album "Less Ain't More" in April 2019. The album garnered acclaim and airplay globally, highlighted by the animated video for "Paradise Café" and the award-winning "Nasty But True."

Critics and fans alike celebrated their sound, comparing it to the greats of the '80s rock era. With rave reviews from Melodic Hard Rock, Powerplay Magazine, The Rockpit, CGCM Podcast, and World of Metal, the band firmly established itself as torchbearers of the genre. The subsequent years saw AFFÄIRE gracing prominent stages at renowned festivals such as Hard 'n' Heavy Festival in Austria and Coq Rock Fest in Belgium in 2021 and 2022.

As they stride into 2023, AFFÄIRE is poised to release their next magnum opus, "En Route," an album that promises to be a testament to their growth and dedication. Born in 1988 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Marcus Mason has been immersed in the music world for nearly two decades. His formative years were spent absorbing the sounds of Hard Rock and Pop, setting him apart from the musical trends of his youth. Reflecting on his journey, Marcus says, "Growing up in the 90s and early 00s, I’ve always gravitated towards the Hard Rock, Pop stylings of the late 70s, 80s, and early 90s. I had a distinct interest compared to the popular Rap, Hip-Hop, and Punk Rock, Post Grunge revival at that time."

The Album: "I Can't Wait"
This debut album features ten meticulously crafted tracks that blend catchy melodies with robust rock instrumentation. Marcus, the primary creator of Mason's music, arranges and writes all the songs, playing bass, rhythm guitar, and delivering lead and backing vocals. "I’ve always wanted to write songs that you can sing along to. Those are always the most memorable and interesting for me. In the end, my choruses in all my songs reflect that motivation," Marcus explains.

Aún seguimos conmocionados por la acogida que tuvimos en Sala Spectrum! Presentar en tu ciudad un disco al cual le hemos puesto mucho empeño es emocionante, a pesar de las adversidades hemos seguido adelante y queríamos demostrar que el hard rock sigue vivo en Murcia.

Queríamos dar gracias a The Rogers Rockband por abrir el directo con ese pedazo de espectáculo que tienen!!!

Próxima parada Hard Rock Whiskey en fortuna!!! A partir de ahí volaremos a Italia a un festival y un show para presentar nuestro disco y ya haremos diversos conciertos por la península.
