Today I celebrate the 4th birthday of Last Mile Records. I’ve had my ups’s downs throughout the time, but in the company of and it’s been all worth it!
I pride myself on finding and releasing some of the best the danish scene has to offer, and more is coming! So stay tuned, eat some birthday cake and let’s take 4 MORE YEARS!

As 2023 draws to a close, we can't help but reflect on what has been a transformative year for our small record label, Last Mile. At the beginning of the year, our future was uncertain.

For those who may not know, Last Mile was originally a subsidiary of one of Denmark's larger indie labels, however in January, we parted ways with them. We're grateful for the years spent there, but it was time for us to stand on our own two feet.

By May, we were thrilled to welcome our first intern, Patrick Christoffersen. Patrick, a former member of the Danish metalcore band Between Oceans and a digital marketing enthusiast. Together we had the pleasure of laying the foundation of what Last Mile aspires to be.

Following his internship, it became clear to me that Last Mile was meant to be more than a solo venture. It needed to be a team effort, dedicated to advancing artists and their music. Hence, I am delighted to announce Patrick as a permanent member of the Last Mile team.

Not long after, we celebrated another milestone by signing our first band, wearetaker, as an independent label. Their debut single, ‘Dolls,’ was released just a few days ago.

The year 2023 has been one of hard work, perseverance, and resilience. As we prepare for 2024, we're filled with optimism. We've already signed two new artists, whom we're excited to introduce when the time is right. One thing is certain: Last Mile is very much alive and thriving, and we have no plans of slowing down.

We look to exploring and discovering more artists in 2024!

For now, we just want to wish you a happy new year, and hope that your 2023 was as rewarding as ours. 🎉
