Claude Teisen-Simony is an architect and inventor who has been engaged in Bugatti cars and Bugatti history for more than 40 years. He bought his first vintage car at age of 14, and his first Bugatti as a student at The Royal Academy in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The Junek Targa Florio practice-car was his second Bugatti. He discovered it as a kit of parts in Sweden. This amazing find started his passion for Bugatti numbering. Over the years Claude has owned more than a dozen Bugattis, complete original cars as well as projects for restoration. Through decades of search for original Bugatti parts, he accumulated not only a huge collection of original parts, but comprehensive knowledge about Bugatti parts numbering.
He also kept files of Bugatti numbering whenever he came across numbering for individual cars from books, catalogs and the internet. Last but not least, Claude stumbled across the remains of the lost Bugatti from the Biscaretti Collection. This started his quest with uncovering the hidden alliance between Pietro Diatto and Ettore Bugatti which also involved the Maserati brothers.
