The Garden Is Back!
I returned from my UK trip to this! The garden sprung up while I was away. I normally let it go wild out of necessity (due to limitations with my health, time, and energy) plus it helps the local insect and bird life, but it amazes me how quickly it can change at this time of year.

Alice Has Left Sunstone Studio 🐰😢
Sunday was Alice’s last day at the studio. I decided last fall that I would try and rehome her in the spring. It was hard to care for her properly with travel and other commitments.
Alice has been at the studio for 18 months. I found her a lovely new home not far away. She seems happy in her new place.
This reel is a little recap of some of the moments we had with her while she was here at Sunstone Studio.

Studio update: art and music storage is setup and the rug is installed!
Just need to crack on with the tiles (feels like that part of it is never ending 🤦♀️)
I love how the storage has helped to reduce the chaos in the room so much!

First batch of acoustic foam is up using the command strip method.
OMG I peeled like a lot of stickers there 😅
The application wasn’t flawless (well nothing is).
I’ve learnt that you definitely should put up foam from the same vacuum pack up together. They will hold the same shape as each other and will tessellate better.
The last two rows were from another pack and they turned out slightly wider than the first pack I put up.
But I’m sure it’s going to do the job.
However, I also found out that foam gives off a nasty fume when first opened and you have to ventilate. Even though these tiles has been airing for a long time, they still had a bit of it hanging around. Having to wait now until I get a mask to wear while putting them up.
But at least the back wall is up now and I have room for the rug when it arrives.

Update on the studio. No the foam isn’t up yet 🤦♀️
But I’ve had to tidy up a bit so that I have room to put the foam up and also for the people assembling the storage units for me soon. Nope I don’t assemble ikea on my own anymore. I learnt my lesson 🤪
I’ll do another update when the foam is up, should be in the next few days.
