New and Rare Music for the Guitar
Bergmann Edition works primarily with publishing NEW and RARE music for the classical guitarist. We prepare scores and sheet music as Self-print (pdf) and as Print on Demand.
Bergmann Edition prepares and sells scores for more than 50 contemporary composers and arrangers from all over the world. They write music in many different styles like microtonal, atonal, romantic, cross-over, jazz, rock and more. And a fair share is for ensembles - both for guitar ensembles exclusively and for guitar in combination with a variety of other instruments.
In 2017 Bergmann Edition published more than 150 new booklets - both collections of compositions and single pieces never published before. The collection is a gold mine for the guitarists who want to expand their repertoire beyond “the old warhorses”. And we will continue to add new publications every week also in 2018.
One special line in our production is the Ferdinand Rebay Project. The Austrian composer, Ferdinand Rebay, left more than 300 compositions for the guitar. Both as a solo instrument and as a part of small ensembles. Bergmann Edition has got the exclusive rights to publish all the manuscripts owned by the Heiligenkreuzt Monastery. In 2017 we managed to publish 60 works and collections and we expect to publish the same amount or more in 2018. It is a wonderful collection for lovers of late romantic music and most of the music has never been published before.
