As promised the other day, Fredericia will not be missing out on loud and devilish metal in February 2024
Therefore Metal Magic have teamed up with Gimle, Eksercerhuset, Nightcrawler Promotion, The Fire That Burns and Cult Never Dies for a two day event taking place in both Roskilde and Fredericia in the same weekend.

Two days of pure black metal - two venues - two parts of Denmark
The forces of darkness will be unleashed in Denmark in February 2024, when Gimle in Roskilde
and Eksercerhuset in Fredericia set the stage for two days with some of the best in black metal!
Anthem of the Awakened is born.
Denmark's new, big 2-day black metal event.
8 bands in total. 4 per day.
Today the first 7 bands are released.
Thus, the program is almost in place for what will be one of the darkest events ever on Danish soil.
The second headliner is yet to be announced.
Anthem of the Awakened is born out of love for the blackest black metal. For two days in February
2024, the audience will be able to experience almost every imaginable range of extreme black
metal. From the most melodic to the most extreme. From the deepest underground to the most
contemporary artists. Unique shows – some of which for the first time on Danish soil.
The plan is set. On February 9 and 10, 2024, there is a black metal fest in both Roskilde and
Fredericia. You will be able to experience the same line up at both venues. All bands play two
shows this weekend. One show in Roskilde and one show in Fredericia. You really just have to
decide which one of the two venues you prefer to experience the Anthem of The Awakened at.

The 2024 line up consists of the following bands:
Moonsorrow (FIN) – Pagan black metal
One of the headliners of the year. Masterful Moonsorrow returns to Denmark for their second and
third Danish show ever. These days the Finns generally don't play a ton of concerts, so these
shows will in every way be an exclusive experience for their many fans when attending the
Anthem Of The Awakened. Melodic and Nordic-sounding epic pagan black metal awaits. A style
that Moonsorrow has developed and refined ever since their debut "Suden Uni" from 2001.

Saor (UK) – Atmospheric black metal
SAOR's impact on the atmospheric folk/black metal genre cannot be overstated. And to celebrate
the ten-year anniversary of "Aura", Saor has announced that selected shows in 2024 will feature a
full performance of the album. This is a once-in-a-decade opportunity for fans to experience the
magic of "Aura" live, as Saor brings its atmospheric and haunting soundscapes to life. Expect to be
transported back in time to the wild and untamed beauty of Scotland. We proudly present Saor for
the first time in Denmark.

Archgoat (FIN) – Extreme black metal
Get ready for a proper and much-needed kick in the ass! The pit will roar when underground
legends Archgoat smash their raw and brutal black metal straight into our faces. Since 1989,
Archgoat has enriched us with beautiful blasphemous black metal straight from the deepest
undergrounds of Hell. Most recently with their album "Worship the Eternal Darkness" from 2021.

Naglfar (SWE) – Black metal
No black metal party without some angry Swedish music! And that is exactly what we get with
Naglfar on stage. The darkness descends when Naglfar takes the stage at Anthem Of The
Awakened, with one of the most acclaimed black metal albums from 2020 - their latest release
"Cerecloth". We are ready!

SETH (FRA) – Epic melodic black metal
It is a huge honor for us to finally be able to present French Seth in Denmark. For the first time the
Danish fans can soon experience the darkest magic from France despite the fact that they have
existed since 1995. Their 2021 album "La morsure du Christ" was heavily complimented by several
prominent metal media as one of the best black metal releases this year. An epic, magnificent and
theatrical show awaits.

Whoredom Rife (NOR) – Norwegian black metal
It is of course mandatory to present some true Norwegian black metal. With Whoredom Rife we
give you a newer band. They released their debut album in 2017 and have since played a ton of
shows. But make no mistake. They play as if they helped define the genre itself back in the early
90s in Norway. Just listen to their latest album "Winds of Wrath" from 2021. Norwegian black
metal at its purest!

LAMENTARI (DK) – Symphonic blackened metal
The only Danish feature at Anthem Of The Awakened. In no time Lamentari has gained a large
following in Denmark with their technical symphonic black metal. "Clavis Aurea" is the title of their
latest EP from 2022. The same year Lamentari secured an impressive third place at the Wacken
Metal Battle in Germany. A theatrical experience awaits when Lamentari hits the stage at Anthem
Of The Awakened.
