Indisputably one of the most legendary music in Germany for Jazz and Classic comes from SABA/MPS. Some music in the tradition is released on HGBSBlue.

Indisputably, the most legendary LP label of Germany’s post war time is MPS – the music production in the Black Forest. Produced between 1958 and 1983 were at first under the label SABA and later MPS recordings in the field of jazz, classic and entertainment which up until this very day claim to be of incomparable quality. Oscar Peterson’s piano or Friedrich Gulda’s classic recordings are merely two of outstanding examples for soundtrack documents, which have meanwhile become a music history.

Zwei intensive Aufnahmetage beim Südwestfunk in Stuttgart mit dem georgischen Trio Russudan Meipariani , Natalie Meipariani und Giga Khelaia im Kammermuskstudio des Senders. Die tolle Musik wird dann bei HGBSBlue herausgebracht.

Wer ist Supermodern? Christopher Dell, Christian Lillinger, Johanes Westergaard, Bob Degen. Die vier Musiker trafen während der tristen Corona-Zeit, im Frühjahr 2021, in Villingen erstmals musikalisch zusammen: Seit nunmehr zwölf Jahren gibt das DLW-Trio den Ton an in der aktuellen europäischen Musikszene, denn das Trio hat längst die Grenzen des Jazz hinter sich gelassen. Das Trio hatte für die Aufnahme den Pianisten Bob Degen eingeladen, viele Jahre fester Bestandteil der Frankfurter Jazzszene, eingeladen. Eingespielt werden sollte eigentlich „nur“ eine LP. Es entstand an den drei Aufnahmetagen so viel erstklassiges musikalisches Material, dass das Label HGBSBlue sich damals entschlossen hat, aufzustocken. Zwei Doppel-LPs „Supermodern“ sind in Villingen entstanden. Hier nun die zweite Platte, die ist wahrlich kein Aufguss der ersten Supermodern-Platte ist, sondern eine konsequente Fortsetzung der Musik, die einerseits als Hommage an das Modern Jazz Quartett gedacht war, aber zu einem eigenständigen und hochenergetischen Quartett-Erlebnis mutierte. Who is Supermodern? Christopher Dell, Christian Lillinger, Johanes Westergaard, Bob Degen. The four musicians met musically for the first time during the dreary Corona period, in the spring of 2021, in Villingen: For twelve years now, the DLW Trio has been setting the tone in the current European music scene, as the trio has long since left the boundaries of jazz behind. For the recording, the trio had invited pianist Bob Degen, for many years an integral part of the Frankfurt jazz scene. Actually, "only" one LP was to be recorded. During the three recording days so much first-class musical material was created that the label HGBSBlue decided at that time to increase the number. Two double LPs "Supermodern" were produced in Villingen. Here now the second record, which is truly not a rehash of the first Supermodern record, but a consistent continuation of the music, which on the one hand was intended as a homage to the Modern Jazz Quartet, but mutated into an independent and highly energetic quartet experience.

Der SÜDKURIER berichtet heute über die Veröffentlichung der LP „Black Forest Vibes“ mit den Lionel Hampton All Stars (HGBSBlue20216). Die Musik wurde 1977 von Hans Georg Brunner-Schwer live aufgenommen, beim ersten Jazzfestival „VS swingt“. Im Bericht heisst es: „…ein Stück Musikgeschichte“. Zumindest für den Schwarzwald.
