12 Heures Internationales de Reims - June 30, 1956. Coming out of Thillois is the Panhard with central steering of the brothers Chancel. They were leading the 750cc categorie with an average speed of 143,48 km/h in the early stages of the race but fell back and finished third in class. This event was marred by the fatal accident of Annie Bousquet when her 550 Spyder left the track at high speed.
