EVOLUTION OF CINEMA
Cinema or Cinematic art is the projection of real life to reel life. Ever since the discovery of camera gradually cinema or movies started to evolve. Joseph Nicephore Niepce in the year 1816 was successful to produce photographs from the camera.

Later Eadweard Muybridge in the year 1978 experimented with the photographs which are the real foundation of cinema. He pictured a horse in motion (1882) and thus became the father of motion pictures.
Soon after in 1891, a device named kinetoscope was invented by Thomas A. Edison and William Dickson created history. Kinetoscope was a kind of projector to show the strip of film passed rapidly. Through a peephole, an individual can see the rapid moving strips called film.

Since the device is limited to one person Lumière brothers came to the forefront to solve it. They are French inventors who devised a motion in the picture camera and a projector. This was called cinematography and thus the name of the cinema evolved.

Cinema at different ages
The journey of cinema did not start all of a sudden but gradually. Filmmakers wanted to take out films from the laboratories. They always wanted to discover new ways of storytelling. To showcase the wonders of the moving reel different ages evolved different types of cinema, with the new technique of film making.

The Pioneer Phase
Since cinema is a product of gradual experiment, it was never meant for featuring a film. In fact, after the invention of different devices of recording the concept of filming is developed. Recording of news, documentaries or any stage play was the first step of recording a movie.

As per resources the first-ever film recorded in the year 1888 named Roundhay Garden Scene by Louis Le Prince. It just looks like a present-day GIF. During the 1900’s first purposeful narrative recorded by George Melies was A Trip To The Moon.

The movie was based on the novel of Jules Verne From the Earth to the moon and Around the Moon. He was the first to tactfully apply tricks in the movie to appeal to the audience. Later his techniques were followed by other filmmakers to create interesting plots. This was the first discovery of the genre of science fiction in movies.

The Silent Phase
The Silent era or phase is referred to as the period when the sound was not synchronized with the video. The Silent Phase which is from (1891- 1920) is the transition period and the most remarkable one. It acted as a bridge between earlier cinemas and the modern cinema.

the Sound came later during the 1920s with American filmmaker and their production house. It was during this time the silent cinema flourished. Since the movies had no dialogues it used music tracks to give it a nice feel. The era focused on specific narratives such as drama, romance, and comedies.

CINEMA IS THE HIGHEST ART FORMS EVER“Cinema is the ultimate pervert art. It doesn’t give you what you desire- it tells you how to desire” — Slavoj Zizek

Art and Cinema are not two different identities but a distinctive recipe for creativity. Creativity is the ultimate aim of any art may it be cinema or any other medium. During the process of evolution of man from the primitive ages to the present era is through creativity. Discovery of various things, method and ways to survive gave birth to creativity.

Creativity is the way of perceiving the world in a new way. Giving shape to imagination and flair to ideas is a creative process. This creativity is art and cinema is the projection of creative genius.

WHAT IS ART?
Although art is an abstract subject no particular definition works here. Art can be viewed from different perspectives. A thing can be interesting to some whereas something else can create the magic for others. Since ages, the debate of what is true art is on and on. A diverse human activity to stimulate visual, auditory and other senses is art.

The Ancient definition of art
According to the early critics, art is the imitation or representation of anything that acts as a medium to transfer feelings. As Leonardo da Vinci stated ‘art is the Queen of all sciences communicating knowledge to all generations of the world’. Earlier art was just the observation of the reality and expression of the artist.

The Modern definition of art
Since 1960s art is defined as an art if only it is able to express its purpose. If it can arouse the feeling of others it is art. In fact to understand true art one needs to be trained enough or specialized expert. As he may appreciate a good art from a bad one.

In the book, Godel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid has stated: “intelligence is the ability to perceive similarities in differences.” Pablo Picasso thought that ‘art is a lie that makes us realize the truth, at least the truth that is given us to understand’.

Elements of art
Art has certain specific elements that make us comment “what a piece of art it is!” The medium of expressing art and its subjective element in the best way is Cinema. Cinema is not just a visual medium but it brings almost all the essence of art.

Different elements of art are symbolism, theme, background and subject matter. Different people work with these elements to narrate their stories. The most impactful medium of expressing art is cinema as it can influence the most number of people than any other art form.

Cinema as an art Form
Art is a language that stimulates our thoughts. Similarly, cinema is a universal language that appeals not only to our thoughts but to other senses. Stories are what influence us. We are all products and by-products of different stories. A story is the element of cinema, that creates a society and a story eventually destroys the same. Mostly People ask what is Cinema or Cinematography? In an easy way, Cinema is a unique way or medium of narrating a story. It helps us to view the reality around us consciously.

Values and Morals Clarification: Value Changes
Moral understanding is not the only thing that changes as people mature. People's values tend to change over time as well. Values that suited you as a child change as you become a young adult, form relationships and make your way in the world. What makes sense to you as a single person no longer makes sense when you are married, or have children. What makes sense to you as a parent no longer makes sense to you when you retire. Many themes remain the same across the years, to be sure, but not all of them do.

Humanist psychologists propose that people have an innate sense of values and personal preferences that tends to get buried under layers of social demands and expectations (social morals). Part of the human journey involves the gradual rediscovery of these innate and highly personal desires, which get unconsciously hidden away when they are seen to conflict with society's demands. You may have a desire to do artwork, but you become a banker instead simply because this pleases your perfectionist and worried parents. You may have homos*xual inclinations, but get married (to an opposite s*x spouse) and have children, simply because to do otherwise in your family and community would be unheard of and shameful.

There are other reasons why you might be out of touch with your values. Sometimes people don't have the attention to wonder what their values are because they are too busy trying to survive. Values only become important as motivators when your basic needs are are already met.

It is a good idea to become more conscious of your true current values, because your true current values are your best guide to how to live a better life. You can accomplish this values consciousness by completing a values and morals inventory which will help you to examine what it is that you want for you, and compare those desires to the moral desires that society (or higher principles) have for you. Most well socialized people will find that there is a whole lot of correspondence between what you want and what society wants. If you are honest, however, you'll sometimes find that there are areas and aspects of your life where society wants one thing from you and you want something different.

To make the inventory, simply ask yourself what you want from life. Explore your wants and desires in depth.

List out what you value, what you want from life and how you want to live. Also list out what you think you're supposed to want, and what other people who are important to you want for you.
Look for two sorts of discrepancies:
Discrepancies between what you want and what society wants,
Discrepancies between what you want and where you're actually at.
Do this so as to determine if you are someone who largely lives out their values, or if you are instead someone who does one thing and believes another thing. If you If you act differently than you believe you should, why is that so? What is stopping you from acting the way you want to act?

Are you someone who lives a moral life (acting in accordance with what other people want from you), or are you someone who desires a different sort of life, (something that many people would find to be "immoral"). If you desire something "immoral", ask yourself why you think this is so, and whether or not the thing you desire is discouraged by society for good reasons. Is there anything inherently abusive about what you want, for instance?

We (the authors) take it for granted that inherently abusive behaviors are fundamentally immoral and wrong, but that many other sorts of behaviors which don't actually end up hurting other people should be allowed some "wiggle room".

You may desire homos*xual contact, but not act upon that urge because your society says that it is immoral and wrong to be a homos*xual. Homos*xuality that involves consenting s*xuality between adults is not abusive by nature. Whether or not it is "bad" in an absolute sort of sense, therefore, has a lot more to do with whether you decide that your values should be determined completely by society, or whether your own internal desires should play a role in determining your values. If you value and believe the common orthodox religious idea that homos*xuality is a form of sin, then you really need to take steps to not act out on your homos*xual impulses. However, if you value the scientific position (that homos*xuality is a normal and benign variation of human s*xuality), then you need to think seriously about whether it makes sense to suppress your desires. Whatever you end up doing, make sure that it is your values that you are acting on, and not someone else's.

A different sort of desire that is inherently abusive, such as pedophilic desires for adult-child s*xual contact is never appropriate, in our view (and the view of most everyone). Religious groups abhor such behavior for their own reasons, but so too does the scientific view, which understands how such contacts can profoundly traumatize and injure children. Only a very small group of other pedophiles would ever try to justify such abusive behavior (and they'd be quite wrong and quite selfish in so doing).

A take-home lesson here is that when you have a conflict between your values and morality, stop and carefully examine why this conflict exists. Look to see whether different segments of society disagree about whether something is abusive, or whether society is largely in agreement that something is abusive. If most groups take a unified view against something you want to do, you should be concerned that there is an objectively legitimate reason for why that thing you want to do is a bad idea. In such a case, you should not act on your desire.

Use the knowledge you gain about your values to focus your self-help efforts and to motivate yourself to achieve your self-help goals. As you narrow the gap between what your values are and how you behave, you are likely to feel better and better about yourself.
