SchottenRadio ist ein Webradio mit Sitz in Spall, in Rheinland-Pfalz, das sich vorwiegend dem Genre der keltischen Musik widmet. Die Hörerschaft besteht zum größten Teil aus Angehörigen der Schottlandszene und Freunden des Irish- und Scottish Folk. Neben klassischer schottischer Nationalmusic werden vor allem Titel aus den Bereichen Folk, Rock, Pop, Metal und Classics aus Schottland, Irland, Wa

les und Deutschland gespielt. Nach einer kostenlosen Anmeldung erhält man allerdings Zugang zu einem Mitgliedsbereich. In dem dort angebotenen Chat finden sich besonders während den Livesendungen zahlreiche Stammhörer ein, um miteinander und mit dem Moderator Informationen aus der schottischen und irrischen Folkszene auszutauschen. Weiter kann man auch mit einem Formular Musikwünsche registrieren, die in den Liveshows gespielt werden. Gegründet wurde SchottenRadio im Juni 2008 von Basil Wolfrhine in der kleinen Soonwaldgemeinde Spall, und als Logo wurde ein sprechender, schottischer Dudelsack gewählt. Auf die Frage: “Warum braucht Deutschland noch einen Radiosender mehr?” Sagt Wolfrhine: “Ganz einfach, weil keltische Musik in den meisten Radiostationen viel zu wenig gespielt wird und wir der Meinung sind, dieses Manko schnell, effizient und unterhaltsam beheben zu können. SchottenRadio ist ein Sender, der von Freunden der keltischen Musik für Freunde der keltischen Musik gemacht wird. Unser Maskottchen, der taffe MacDudel, steht für das einzigartige Lebensgefühl, das keltische Musik dem Hörer vermittelt. Und dabei beschränken wir uns nicht auf schottische und irische Traditionals, sondern fahren einen heißen Mix quer durch die breite Palette internationaler Künstler.”

War anfangs ein computergeneriertes Musikprogramm zu hören, moderieren in den letzten Monaten zunehmend verschiedenen Moderatoren live ihre Radioshows und seit Anfang 2009 wird verstärkt auf Veranstaltungen, Konzerte, Neuigkeiten rund um das Genre hingewiesen. Das Radio bietet neben einem computergenerierten Musikprogramm auch regelmäßig live moderierte Radioshows mit verschiedenen Moderatoren an, die mit unterschiedlichen Konzepten und Musikgenres aufwarten. In allen Radioshows ist der Musikanteil sehr hoch. Daneben gibt es Neuigkeiten, Fakten und Unterhaltung aus dem Genre. So werden neben den internationalen Stars im keltischen Musikgeschäft auch Bands, die sonst nur regional publiziert werden, gespielt und vorgestellt.

The impressive, megalithic, magical tomb Nobbin

The island of Rügen, with its dreamy landscape, its chalk cliffs and idyllic landscapes, played an important role in the Romantic era and so, not entirely unexpectedly, the sun gilded the beach on July 9, 2023 and distributed glittering water pearls in the Baltic Sea, when Tina & Basil Wolfrhine climbed the Riesenberg to explore that romanticism, the unfathomable and mystical as well as the emotional world of those people who lived in the Neolithic Age (30th 00 – 1800 BC), created one of the largest stone tombs in northern Germany.

Nothing in this place is ordinary and every wave, far down on the shore of the 'Tromper Wiek', tells of all those people who have visited this special place over the millennia and been able to experience its special magic.

Gaby and Pepe joined the tour and took a few amazing photos.

Die Insel Rügen, mit seiner verträumten Landschaft, seinen Kreidefelsen und idyllischen Landschaftszügen, spielte eine wichtige Rolle in der Epoche der Romantik und so vergoldete die Sonne auch am 9. July 2023, nicht ganz unerwartet, den Strand und verteilte glitzernde Wasserperlen in der Ostsee, als Tina & Basil Wolfrhine den Riesenberg hinaufstiegen um jene Romantik, das Unergründliche und Mystische sowie die Gefühlswelt jener Menschen zu ergründen, die in der Jungsteinzeit (3000 – 1800 v.Chr.), eines der größten Steingräber Norddeutschlands erschufen.
Nichts an diesem Ort ist alltäglich und jeder Wellenschlag, weit unten am Ufer der Tromper Wiek, weis von all jenen Menschen zu berichten, die über die Jahrtausende, diesen besonderen Ort besuchten und deren besondere Magie erleben durften.

Gaby und Pepe begleiteten Tour teil und machten ein paar tolle Fotos.

Tina & Basil Wolfrhine visited the megalithic tombs near Lancken-Granitz on the island of Rügen.

Megalithic tombs can be found at various locations on the island of Rügen. The largest contiguous group of dolmens lies southwest of Lancken-Granitz.

These are megalithic tombs from the Neolithic Funnel Beaker culture in the area around the community of Lancken-Granitz in the Vorpommern-Rügen district in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.
