My very first experience driving a car in the capital city of the Philippines leads me to this place… the view of the Taal Volcano.
Not easy to get this view… I had to line up in a queue for 30 minutes to get access to the Starbucks Reserve Hiraya in Tagaytay. From the terrace you’ve got this beautiful panorama.
On the whole way to Tagaytay you had no chance to see the volcano lake. WTF!

This is how I look like when I’m hiking in such a beautiful environment. Usually I’m traveling up to 4 times per year in to the Dolomites. This year I had to work a lot and had less time for traveling. Next year is the year of the Wooden Dragon. I was born in the sign of the Fire Dragon. To make next year as special as possible I will start with a long trip…

Same lake different perspective… you have to climb up the big rocks to get this view from the top (last pic) One of the hardest climbing sections I’ve ever made… Not that long, but steep and unexpected. And without any safety equipment.
But I made it!!!

As dramatic as the landscape looks here in the Rofan Mountains, my last trip to the Austrian Alps a few weeks ago was just as emotional.
Somehow nothing really worked out. Which only happens very rarely on my travels. Not the weather, not the accommodation, and not the journey either.
In moments like this I always think to myself, maybe I shouldn't have set off at that time in the first place? Do you know that, too?

Hello everyone... Nice to meet you here!
I would like to use this post to introduce myself I think, I have never done this since the last 9 years:)
I'm Marti, 47 years old and currently living in the south of Bavaria, near to the Alps.
I've been passionate by photography since I was 16. It was fascinating me from the very beginning.

Since my trip alone to the island Langkawi I love to travel and my Camera was always with me on my trips since then. l've seen a lot of countries in the last 14 years.
I've always been a big fan of lakes. Hiking used to not be my thing, but in the last few years I've learned to love it. Sometimes I have to hike high up to reach some of these beautiful mountain lakes.

Nature has become an important part of my life. I used to be a big city kid. But 9 years ago, after my world trip, I felt this deep desire to move to the countryside to live in nature and closer to the mountains. So I moved 7 years ago near to the lake Staffelsee. I love this area here.

The next days I'll let you know, why I enjoy and like to travel solo ;-)

I think it‘s a much more better way to visit this monument, than to take the three hour visitors tour through the whole area… it was not possible to enter only this Tomb. Newgrange is a Stone Age (Neolithic) monument in the Boyne Valley, County Meath, it is the jewel in the crown of Ireland's Ancient East.
