Recordlabel & Distribution World in Sound stands for timeless individuality. The focus lies on Psychedelic-Progressive-Hard-And-Heavy-Blues-Garage-ROCK!

It finds its roots in the revolutionary youth movement of the late 1960's, in the sound of 1967's "Summer of Love" and in the era-defining festival of Woodstock in 1969. At World in Sound, the virtuosity of a single musician is but a small part of the musical works. Rather, it embraces a multi-faceted rhythmical symbiosis of the band as a whole, as it pursues its highest purpose: to leave a deep m

usical fingerprint in an original way. The essence of that sound should be: dramatic, vivid, creative, epic, melodic, courageous, passionate, at times experimental, but always individual and intense. A freedom of movement refers exclusively to the fact that the listener shall experience a World In Sound album on an exciting journey, seeking a repeat experience immediately. Apart from the pure recorded music, the tasteful staging of the final sound for World In Sound plays a key role. Thereby the main attention lies in forming the band's individual sound in an unfiltered, organic, and dynamic way, yet still fresh, punchy and intense, in order to expose the individual magic of every album. HISTORY

World in Sound has reissued vinyl and CDs since 1999, in the form of valuable, rare and obscure cult records. It has discovered numerous never published jewels from the period of 1966 - 1978. All productions take place in close collaboration with the artists and apart from the music also present historical background information about each band. Through the years World In Sound has become an institution in the worldwide psychedelic collector's scene. Since 2006 World In Sound has sought to establish young, ambitious bands with the above mentioned qualities to an international audience. By fusing generations of musicians, World In Sound has built a bridge back to this highly creative and rebellious time, the early 1970s, a time where music was seen as a demanding art form of expression, when the musicians ran the music business, and not the producers.

'Transitions' by Estes Brothers is one of the rarest US private pressings and truly a heavy-psych masterpiece. It was released in Ohio in 1971 and original copies are nearly impossible to find, only 100 were made. The album has been reissued by the legendary Rockadelic Records in the 1990s on vinyl and by World in Sound on CD (WIS-1013) in 2002. Six longer album cuts from 4-9 minutes express intense, atmospheric and epic movements, stunning guitarwork and the typical haunted blues/hardrock blend of the early '70s. The main influences are British '70s rock heroes and US-Westcoast acid/jam rock in the vein of Quicksilver Messenger Service. The quartet further recorded one 45 record: 'Tomorrow's Sunlight'/'Yesterdays Blues.' This edition is the complete discography of the Estes Brothers, presented with the original cover artwork, photos and historical background. Limited edition of 475 copies in handmade heavy cardboard sleeve with 8 page insert. Includes CD version.

These four young guys on Guitar, Bass, Drums and FX make a significant difference from many others, not only by combining the essences of great musicianship but keeping their minds wide open. While sharing similar vibes with Colour Haze, Samsara Blues Experiment, My Solid Ground and like-minded pioneers of Krautrock, they maintained a juvenile experimentalism to continuously keep up the excitement within these 53 minutes of the album. Seems they almost intuitively created anthems like "Dhimahi Prachodayat" or "Agathe & Saturnia" by looking at their music through the eyes of adolescence. Oh, and how refreshing their energy is!
