Wir suchen einen Schlagzeuger!

Wir spielen zeitgenössischen Black Metal zwischen Gaerea, Misþyrming und Sinmara. Erzählerische Leadgitarren treffen auf sinistre Dissonanzen, erhabene Atmosphäre trifft auf finsteres Chaos.
Proben-Turnus wäre einmal wöchentlich/ einmal alle 14 Tage (je nach eigener Verfugbarkeit) in Aachen.
Wir suchen nach einer Person, die sich mit unserem Stil identifizieren kann, die Musik nicht nur spielt, sondern auch fühlt, sich mit Leidenschaft in den Songwriting-Prozess einbringt und mit eigenen Stilen und Ideen erweitert. Gelöst von irdischem Zwist, verachten wir NSBM und suchen keine Verehrer dieser Richtung.

Unsere Anforderungen an dich:
- Know-how über dein Instrument
- Doublebass
- Blastbeats
- gerne: Spielen auf Klick
- 3/4-Takt und Triolen sollten kein Fremdwort sein
- Kommunikationsfähigkeit
- Bereitschaft zum persönlichen Engagement
- Bühnenerfahrung wäre wünschenswert
- Bereitschaft Konzerte zu spielen (aktuell NRW und Umland)

After several unpleasant experiences with session drummers in the past I decided to get behind the kit again not only doing the drums for ASF myself but also offering the service of Extreme Metal session drums from now on at LIQUID AETHER Audio as well. More info on this to follow...

"Age of Eternal Night" is a dark and immersive concept album that continues the story of the first album:
The nameless pilgrim who descended into the darkness of an ancient tomb in the desert sands of Sumer - thirsting for forbidden knowledge and vampyric ascension. As he ultimately finds what he seeks and by the completion of profane and horrific rituals he finally transforms into an immortal ruler of darkness, blood and death. Breaking out of the forsaken depths of the netherrealm he unleashes unspoken horrors upon mankind - creating the primordial vampyric coven under the light of a blood moon.
..As the Gates of Ganzir open the death bells of Cuutha toll over blood stained sands...

The album was once again recorded, mixed, and mastered by Mario Dahmen / Liquid Aether Audio. With the raw intensity and epic structure already present in our previous works, "Age of Eternal Night" will stand out with an even denser atmosphere and a refined sonic balance.

The artwork was once again created by Ben Harff / Kodex Barbaricus who perfectly captured the essence of the music. Layout was done by Heresie Design / Heresie Studio.

Another week, another drum session...

After well over 25 years in hibernation, extreme Doomsters UNPURE TO CHRIST finally started to record a new version of their Debutalbum. Having been originally planned to be released in 1998, the original Masters vanished with the label that was supposed to release it and that was it... ...until now.

For fans of WINTER, SORROW and other bleak and extreme music.

Finished recording drums for HAG's follow up to last years 'Over stormskapte fjell'.

While still employing my tried and tested way of recording drums, I also took a step back from using my supposedly "good" mics on the toms and swapped them with 30 € SM57 knock-offs from AMAZON just to find out that they sound quite good with well tuned toms and a good player; I also used old battery powered SHURE Overheads I found in the attic and guess what? They rule for Black Metal Cymbals!

And lastly, when speaking about good playing... ...Astrega from SCHWERMUT did an amazing job and delivered a fantastic performance grewing way beyond herself!

Back in the day just a cheap way to get a loud distorting amp, I stil use these solid state Amps successfully with a lot of fun regularly on all kinds of productions ranging from Black Metal to Death Metal to even Rock... ...sometimes without even thinking about also trying a Tube Amp.

Still can't decide on either of the two... ...and don't get me to bringing the much dreaded HM-3 into the picture, because I honestly love that as well!

The wonderful thing about these all is that they not only work for Swedish Death Metal, but also for a lot of other genres.
