WTO Christmas party 2024

We would like to thank our local newspaper publisher “Offenburger Tageblatt” for the report about the WTO Christmas party and the review of a very successful year for WTO.

WTO USA is proud to announce the completion and opening of its new North American Headquarters in Charlotte, NC. The impressive 21,600 square foot, state-of-the art building includes modern offices, a fully equipped repair and service area, an extensive warehouse and a showroom to perfectly serve its growing customer base in North America.

To comply with our global corporate sustainability goals, solar panels were installed on the entire roof. The solar energy system generates around 250,000 kWh of electricity annually and more than 6.8 million kWh over its expected lifetime of 30 years. This corresponds to a saving of over 5,300 tons of carbon dioxide. WTO USA will therefore generate a large part of its electricity consumption.

WTO USA was founded in 1995 as WTO Inc. by Sascha Tschiggfrei. Since then, we have been serving the North American market directly on site with our factory owned sales & service center. Our customers benefit from competent after-sales support and a professional repair service provided by our own specialists. The new building provides the foundation for further expansion in the important North American market.

Review WTO barbecue 2024 ☀️

Our barbecue on July 19th 2024 was a complete success! 💯

There were delicious specialties from the grill and salad bar, which everyone enjoyed 🥗 as well as delicious ice cream for dessert 🍦. In the evening, the celebration continued in the WTO Bar, where the employees spent a few more great hours and had many interesting conversations.

A big thank you to everyone who attended. We look forward to the next joint events!

WTO values such joint events. They offer the opportunity to talk to each other and strengthen the community. As the barbecue took place after WTO's International Sales & Product Meeting, the global WTO sales team was also present - so all employees from Ohlsbach, Europe, USA and Asia were able to exchange ideas with each other at the event.

The positive atmosphere and the good food helped to make this barbecue a complete success. ✨

„Best Sales Team of the World“ 🤩

Last week, the global WTO sales team met at the “International Sales & Product Meeting” at the WTO headquarters in Ohlsbach.

Each participant has taken part in intensive product trainings and technical workshops. The high level of technical expertise of our sales team members enables us to offer our global customers the best possible product support globally. 💪

WTO sets standard in terms of sustainability

WTO in Germany has been using renewable energies for its production for years.
In the US, we have just completed the installation of our 175 kW PV system on the rooftop of our new building.
The 12,300 square feet solar system will produce approximately 250,000 kWh of energy annually and approx. over 6.8 million kWh over its lifetime.
This is equivalent to offsetting over 5,300 tons of carbon dioxide according to the US EPA Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies calculator!

WTO organized a second vaccination day for its employees in the company for initial and booster vaccinations with BioNTech against the corona virus SARS-CoV-2 by the company doctor.

The demand was great and the now boosted and vaccinated WTO employees were happy that they could get the important vaccinations so easily.

"Now that many of our employees need a booster vaccination, we acted without hesitation and organized the vaccinations in our own company as quickly as possible”, explains WTO Managing Director Sascha Tschiggfrei.

“To increase the safety of our employees, we go one step further and have organized a certified Corona test center for the SARS-CoV-2 antigen rapid test on our company premises.”
Of course, our visitors or external parties can also use the test center”, adds Sascha Tschiggfrei and concludes with the note that “this is also an offer for the unvaccinated, as they can only enter their workplace with certified negative evidence”.

Since the beginning of the crisis, the WTO has implemented the WTO Corona protective measures immediately, unbureaucratically and successfully in accordance with the applicable occupational health and safety regulations: setting up Plexiglas walls, branded air purifiers with corona-effective filters and time-shifted work. In addition, the provision of self-tests, medical and FFP2 masks and, where possible, home office.

WTO organizes Corona vaccination in the company

WTO organized a vaccination against the Corona virus SARS-CoV-2 for its employees by its own company doctor.

Those employees interested in a vaccination could receive their vaccine with prior registration at WTO in Ohlsbach. As the Johnson & Johnson vaccine only requires 1 shot, demand was high and the now vaccinated employees were pleased to obtain the vaccine in such an uncomplicated way.

"Since the beginning of the crisis, we have immediately and un-bureaucratically implemented successfully the WTO Corona protection measures in accordance with the respective valid health and safety regulations. We set-up Plexiglas walls, installed air cleaners with Corona-effective filters and implemented time-shifted working hours. In addition and where possible, home office was offered and we provided self-tests as well as medical and FFP2 face masks. Because of the effective protective measures, our employees at WTO have not been exposed to the risk of an infection with the Corona virus. It was therefore logical that our employees could also be vaccinated in the company as quickly as possible," explains WTO CEO Sascha Tschiggfrei.
