Devlog since the last post I have added a lot to the game. Among them are the first combat animations incl. destruction of enemies, enemies can patrol, the player can jump and perform a mega jump by holding the jump button for about 1 second and the character jumps much higher. Today, moving platforms have been added, which can't be missing in a platformer :-) Oh, and you fight with a lightsaber :-) COOL ... and I adjusted the lighting, I really like the reflections. Soon there will be a first video...

The foundation is laid . kinda cool to play with and make it interactive 🙂 So the official Unity course Code with Unity really was worth it, tied up the loose ends in my head to do what's important in Unity and bypass trial and error. Writing a game!

Finally a new update on Leif:

There was a reorganisation internally, so now I'm working on Leif as a solo dev and had to spend a lot of time with Unreal Engine 5.

I've basically completely reworked the environment design, the lighting and I've built in deep pathways where the enemies will sneak up on Leif, in this case the spiders, because this area is the spider cave.

Then I changed the entire movement system, I don't want a simple Assasins Creed climbing system, but one that feels like Uncharted or Tomb Raider, so I use Advanced Locomotion and had to change the whole thing to 2D movement, since I'm developing a side scrolling game. Now you can move freely throughout the area.

Next up are the spiders, which I will use as the first enemies.
