For better educational opportunities his family moved to Kabul, where he later enrolled at the Afghan Habibia high School in Kabul then he joined the Kabul Agriculture institute and completed two years professional education. Then he enrolled at the KhatamulNabien University and completed a BPS degree. He also has a Master’s Degree in (International Relations) from Katab University. And a diploma
in journalism as well as in the English language. He joined many short and long term trainings and workshops inside and outside of the country in Communication, Management, Human rights, media and international relations. During his education time he enrolled in courses of journalism in DW, ATN, American University of Afghanistan and Norwan Institute of Journalism. He speaks Pashtu, Persian and English fluently and seldom Uzbeki and Urdu. Khushal Asefi has written hundreds articles on Political and Socials Issues by Pashtu and Persian. Khushal Asefi has 15 years of work experience in Afghan Media, including Tolo TV, Arman Radio, Lemar TV and ATN Ariana&ArianaNews in Producing, Presenting, Directing and Managing. He has made thousands of shows on both Ariana Television and Radio and is recognized by Afghans wherever ATN and ATNNEWS is carried. He was Lecturer at Private Universities and also Executive Vice President of Ariana Radio Television Network in Afghanistan till October 2021
