Lawrence Brownlee – I Puritani at the Metropolitan Opera

Tenor Lawrence Brownlee returns to the Metropolitan Opera , New York, as Lord Arturo Talbot in Bellini’s I Puritani, presented in a new production this season.

The opera is conducted by Marco Armiliato, with staging by Charles Edwards, offering a new perspective on Bellini’s final masterpiece and its demanding bel canto writing.

Tenor Peter Tantsits joins the Dresdner Philharmonie for a performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 at the Kulturpalast Dresden.

Under the direction of Sakari Oramo , Beethoven’s final symphony brings together orchestra, soloists, and choir in one of the most powerful works of the repertoire, featuring the famous Ode to Joy.

Levy Sekgapane Jumps In for La Sonnambula at Tiroler Festspiele Erl

Tenor Levy Sekgapane will sing the role of Elvino in Bellini’s La Sonnambula at Tiroler Festspiele Erl, replacing Francesco Demuro, who has withdrawn due to illness.

The cast change applies to the concert performance of La Sonnambula by Vincenzo Bellini on December 28, 2025.

Levy Sekgapane returns to Erl after his appearance in I Puritani last season. His recent engagements include performances at the Wiener Staatsoper, Bayerische Staatsoper, Hamburg State Opera, and Los Angeles Opera.

For “La Sonnambula” he will join a cast that includes Jessica Pratt , Sarah Dufresne , Adolfo Corrado .corrado.bass, Paweł Horodysk , and Valentina Pernozzoli .

Giacomo Sagripanti conducts.

Tenor Abel Zamora .zamora_tenor takes part in Génération Opéra .opera – Les Folies lyriques, a festive concert celebrating the end of the year with a new generation of French-based opera artists.

From operetta to opera, the programme explores two centuries of vocal repertoire, featuring well-known opera arias as well as duos and trios. Abel Zamora appears alongside soprano Tamara Bounazou and mezzo-soprano Léontine Maridat-Zimmerlin , with Louis Dechambre at the piano.
