In our latest blog, we take you behind the scenes at how West One Music Group founder and renowned composer Richard Harvey and composer Alex Lamy created the fantastic score for the new Netflix series 'IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack'.

Richard and Alex created an exceptional original score for the mini-series, which tells the gripping true story of a hijacked Indian Airlines flight in 1999. The duo set out to compose a soundtrack that combined Western cues with traditional Indian elements.

Written by Pakistani-born composer Abbass Premjee, 'Textures of India and Pakistan' explores various themes, from atmospheric scene-setters to playful underscores. Abbass combined his Pakistani roots and his classical Indian music training to create this hybrid of vivid music that is perfect for documentaries and journalistic media.

The tracks include a combination of both traditional South East Asian instrumentation and subtle synthesised sounds. It features the bansuri, sitar, and organic percussion.
