Hi friends,I am Slim Robbins and I am from Germany. I love to listen to Country Music in the last 40 years.

Hi welcome to Slims Country Corner which is aired on Sunshine Radio UK every Friday and Saturday night from 10 pm till midnight (UK time),sometimes on Tuesday or Sunday to different times. It all started at Christmas as my brother gave me a tape of Elvis since then I have started Collecting Elvis records. A few years later in the early 80’s I became more a country fan and nothing has changed until

today. I also am a musician, singing and play the Guitar and Harmonica a little bit. On my Shows on Sunshine Radio UK I will play most of the older country music but also some of the newer music as well. My favorite country artists are Slim Whitman, Marty Robbins, Elton Britt,Kenny Roberts,Webb Pierce,Faron Young,Elvis Presley and Lucille Starr. I also Love the music of some of the young artists such as Simon Peters, Keelan Arbuckle, Ben Troy,Owen Mac,Vince Mira and also David Thibault.

Today it's 42 years ago when DeFORD BAILEY passed away aged 82. R.I.P.!!

He was an American country music and blues star from the 1920s until 1941. He was one of the first performers to be introduced on Nashville radio station WSM's Grand Ole Opry,[5] the first African-American performer to appear on the show, and the first performer to have his music recorded in Nashville.[6] Bailey played several instruments in his career but is best known for playing the harmonica, often being referred to as a "harmonica wizard".
