๐๏ธFourthlake Remixes Out Now๐๏ธ
Back in autumn of 2021 the self-titled debut LP of โfourthlakeโ, the project of Christoph Vogel and Christoph Rutsch, has seen the light of day. Now, almost one and a half year later, the complete Remix LP will finally be released. This special package not just contains the three already released reworks of Borneo, Matik as well as the joint effort of Iron Curtis & Johannes Albert, it also features four completely unreleased versions by artists from the Empore/Facetten artist family.
The first track is a remix by Luna Club resident and Hamburg based artist . He took on the task to remix โBy The Lakeโ, and transformed the intro track of the LP into a deep, almost hypnotic club track. He captures the mystic vibe of the track by carefully selecting which elements to reuse and he rearranges them, to create a mesmerizing 8-and-a-half-minute long journey.
Next Up is the โDark Jungle Remixโ of โBlaue Stundeโ by DrumโnโBass legend The Green Man. As founder of the infamous DnB label Basswerk, he most certainly knows how to turn things โDark Jungleโ with the elements of what used to be the closing track of the LP. His contribution could be described as a broken beat rework, which seems to gain power by the minute and is peaking around the 3-minute-mark, showcasing the skills of the DnB maestro.
The third remix of the package comes from .cws , one of the most charming up-and-coming sound nerds of the northern city of Kiel. With his remixed version of โOeresundโ, he provides a deep, rhythmic breakbeat track featuring the signature warm pads known from his originals.
Track number four is the remix of artist , who send the stems of โJanuary Fogโ through his wires into modular madness and thereby manages to change the vibe from daytime to nighttime.
