Zolfo /’tsolfo/ or /’dzolfo/ [lat. sŭlphur or sŭlfur] – A pale yellow chemical element that exists in various physical forms. It burns with a blue flame and strong smell, often accompanied by a green toxic light and claustrophobic, heavy, and distorted music, that evokes an intense and suggestive sensory experience, characterized by oppressive, dissonant, and enveloping sounds that transport the listener into a dark and unsettling sonic world.
The italian doom/sludge-mongers Zolfo are set to release their second full-length album “Descending into Inexorbale Absence”.
Six new tracks of massive doom/sludge madness merged into blackened and post-metal contaminations that will take the listener in a 58-minutes conceptual journey inside the wandering cycle of human and sunlight conditions, never quite finding the feeling of being at home somewhere, forever fleeing from the pursuit of darkness.

In 2012, between dung heaps, tractors and Bavarian culture of suffering, four disillusioned boys wallow in the dirt of a dying village punk scene and binge drinking.

Twelve years, an EP and various appearances in the pubs of the Republic later, Disasseln - despite now living far apart - stand for dystopian-misanthropic D-beat/metal punk with both English and German vocals.

The first LP “Wohin soll's denn heute gehen?” will be released in 2024.

Recorded, mixed and mastered by Walzwerk - Tonstudio .

Hey sludge-heads, it's time for some hot news!
This spring we are going to release our new full-length album "Descending into Inexorable Absence".

A polyphasic compound of 58 minutes, divided into a massive blend of doom/sludge intensity and layers of blackened and post-metal contamination, recorded at MOLOTOV recording by Andrea Lenoci, mixed and mastered at Skyhammer Studio by Chris Fielding and framed by Khaos Diktator Design.

The second chapter of our discography, will be released on double gatefold coloured vinyl by Zann's Records and Violence In The Veins, and on a limited edition tape by Riff Merchant Records.

More infos on release date, pre-orders and first single will follow shortly!
