Last week ARRI Rental and ALTA (Association of Technicians in the Audiovisual industry in Luxembourg) invited colleagues from the industry to a lighting workshop with DP/Gaffer Martin Rupprecht. In November Luxembourg welcomed 30 students from the IECA - Institut Européen de Cinéma et d'Audiovisuel / Université De Lorraine in their premises to hold a camera and lighting workshop. The students were able to test equipment like the ALEXA Mini LF, Signature Primes, the ALEXA 35, Hi-5 Hand Unit and anamorphic lenses. ARRI Rental looks forward to following their future journey and stands there with advice and assistance in their future projects.

Huge congratulations to the team behind the mini-series “Dear Child” (“Liebes Kind”) for winning the International Emmy Award in the "TV Movie/Miniseries" category! 🏆👏

This adaptation of Romy Hausmann's novel, brought to life by cinematographers Alexander Fischerkoesen and Martin Langer, captures a nightmarish yet captivating story with beautiful images. The project was serviced by ARRI Rental with ALEXA Mini LF, DNA LF, as well as lighting and grip equipment.

Film School Fest Munich - Festival of Future Storytellers is full of inspiration and creativity. The festival is taking place from November 15 to 23. It is a platform that reflects the zeitgeist of young filmmakers from all over the world. The premise of "What you don’t see", directed by Samuel Ramm, was to prove that shooting analog film in an LED-Volume is possible. For the production DP Luis Zappe was working with an ARRICAM ST and investigated the following questions: "What happens when you combine 35mm film and LED volumes?", "How do you integrate film into an entirely digital production environment?", "How can celluloid film benefit moiré, color rendering and the overall look?" In cooperation with , Luis shot a two minute narrative short film to uncover the challenges and potential when combining the oldest and newest tools in the film industry.

Two analog short films, the four legendary formats, two DPs, the ARRIFLEX 765 supplied by Munich - the name of the movies: "Cut" (DP Kristoffer Aabo) and "Nothing ventured" (DP Anders Lindved), both directed by Jesper Tønnes. The short films explore the themes of personal risk, emotional depth, and transformation in captivating ways and blend the richness of analog with the intensity of narrative and movement. “Nothing ventured” is a raw, character-driven noir-action-thriller and “Cut” is a bold flamenco dance film, using the power and grace of flamenco to express the same themes through movement.

"As a filmmaker, I was very curious how we could use the look, and feeling of each format to influence the storytelling. We felt that it was very important to try something new, and push the limits of each format, while still celebrating the traditions and history." – Jesper Tønnes

Last weekend the third edition of the Filmfest Trier took place and is very happy to see an increase of the attending audience. The festival's founders aim to develop Trier into a film location and to support filmmakers from Trier and the greater region. Luxembourg supported three of the festival´s prices with vouchers for film equipment. Congratulations to the winners!

The festival program is focused on local and international productions and newly discovered q***r-classics. The festival presents the current international q***r film scene within various festival sections including documentaries, animations, mini-series and feature films. is happy to award the Jury Award.
