Was gefällt dir persönlich an meinem Mix & Master und was eher nicht so?

Contest Regel:
"No extra composition. You may layer drum samples, swap out bass sounds, even double up guitars and synths - but no extra melody lines, vocals or leads. You’re being judged on the mix/master, not the songwriting.

No automated mastering services (LANDR, Aria, eMastered etc).

We get it - they’re useful, and many engineers use them professionally. However, this is test of raw audio engineering skill, so it seems inappropriate to permit their usage. All entries must be entirely your own work - that means no teams, and no hiring external mix/master engineers to ghost this for you.

Ultimately, we have no way of proving this is all your own work outside of trust, so if you do chose to cheat, then we hope you know that deep down, you’re a total dick."

Es sollte erst ein kurzer Soundtest werden, zu den "neuen" GetGood Drums "Modern and Massiv" und der darin enthaltenen original Vinnie Paul snaredrum... am Ende wurd es dann doch ein komplettes cover! 😅

Ich bin mehr als zufrieden mit den Drums, aber auch mit dem neuen comp plugin "SMASH and GRAB"! 💪

Ich hoffe es gefällt euch genauso gut wie mir! 🙂

"Insgesamt ist dir hier ein guter Mix gelungen: die Lautstärke-Verhältnisse sind im Großen und Ganzen ausgewogen (mit Ausnahmen), der Grundsound ist für das Genre (Glam- und Sleaze Rocks der 80er Jahre) passend und auch aus technischer Sicht gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Gute Arbeit!"

Ich fasse einmal zusammen. So langsam nährt sich das Jahr 2017 dem Ende hinzu. Dementsprechend möchte ich "DANKE" 💖 denen sagen, die mir ihr Vertrauen geschenkt haben, ihre Musik in ein optimales Licht rücken zu dürfen! Mit meinen Masteringpartnern konnten somit hammer Ergebnisse erzielt werden und ich kann es kaum erwarten die mit euch zu teilen. Laut der Bands werden die meisten Sachen erst 2018 erscheinen, aber als kleinen Hinweis was euch erwartet, schmeiße ich mal ein paar Namen in den Raum. 😜

Neben all diesen Projekten und vielen kleinen Assistantjobs, habe ich auch meine HOFA-College Abschlussprüfung für das "Diploma zum Audio-Engineer" gemacht. Die Theorie ist schonmal bestanden, nun hoffe ich auf ein positives Feedback zur Praxismischung. 😱
Ebenso froh bin ich, das ich mitte-ende des Jahres meinem buddy Mirko Witzki helfen konnte, indem ich ihm ein Teil der Wohnung bereitgestellt habe, für sein Masterabschlussfilm Catching Glimpse. Zieht euch den Film rein, das wird ganz großes Kino! 😎👌
Als damals alles im Kasten war, wurde zum Abschlussgrillen bei den Grubenhelden mit Matthias Bohm eingeladen. Einfach nur geil, mega Qualität der Klamotten zu fairen Preisen und ein toller Weg um an den alten Ruhrpott / Bergbau zu erinnern. ⚒️ 🙂 aus checken!

Zum Jahresende war ich dann noch beim Heimatspiel von ANY GIVEN DAY. Einfach nur fertig gemacht haben die Jungs die Bochumer Zeche. 😎💪
Mein Highlight aber an dem Abend waren ganz klar Breathe Atlantis. Hammer Performance, fetter Sound, gute Songs... bin baff! 😍 PS: Das letzte Album wurde von keinem geringeren produziert als Dan Korneff (Drowning Pool / Breaking Benjamin / A Day To Remember - uvm.) - unbedingt reinhören! 📢
