A message from BLACKBOOK: "It’s time for some short-term nostalgia. 2024 sure was a fantastic year for //BLACKBOOK! Our first releases this year were the singles “Echoes And Shadows” and “Normal” in February and March, followed by our second full-length Album “Radio Strange”. Thank you all so much for all your, praise, streams, comments etc.!
Then we went a-travelin’ through Europe to bring you some live music. In March we played in Aarau CH and Giessen DE. In May we gigged in Basel CH (our first headliner show) and performed at the WGT (Moritzbastei) in Leipzig DE. And suddenly, everyone started singing along to the songs…
In July we flew to Poland where we first lost our luggage but had a great time after all at the Castle Festival in Bolkow. Then back to Germany to play the Amphi festival in Köln DE, where we performed in front of our largest audience so far.
In November we entertained warm crowds in chilly Sweden, first in Malmö (which was organized ultra-quickly because the original venue suddenly went bankrupt, not because of us we hope 😊) and then in Jönköping (SOLD-OUT!). It was in Sweden that we first spotted a BLACKBOOK tattoo, which left us speechless. It makes you wonder… what comes next?
Our next show was at the European Dark Dance Treffen in Mannheim DE, where some of you showed us your self-made BLACKBOOK shirts. Wait, was that a hint? Do you think we should bring some t-shirts next time? And that concluded a great LIVE year. It’s rumored that some of you came to more than one of our gigs, but we’re sure that’s only a rumor. Why would you wanna do that? 😊
