The year 2024 has nearly ended, here are some words about my Oonops Drops highlights.

I've dropped four releases via my label on recycled vinyl as there are Nautilus and their beautiful cover versions of »Georgy Porgy« and »Let's Stay Together« feat. Toni-L , John Turrell & Keyco as a first collab project with Nautilus Japanese label Urban Discos / ディスクユニオン , two super funky magic edits by DJ Skeme Richards (Official Fan Page) (Nostalgia King / Rock Steady Crew), two more fantastic cover versions by Nautilus of »Why I Came to California« and »What You Won't Do For Love (Soul Supreme Remix« feat. Eki Shola , Denise M'Baye & Ryuto Kasahara. Ending with the studio ablum »Pacific Voyage« which also served as the title our second common tour.
Our next adventure was so much fun again and we toured for two weeks and played twelve concerts again at XJAZZ / PRIVATCLUB Berlin, HHV Records, Urban Nature Hotels , Pierre Grasse, Speicher Husum, Backstein - Bäckerei für zeitgenössisches Brot, Knust Hamburg, The Hearts Hotel, PLATZprojekt, Livecv Lübeck, Basta. and Maschseefest Hannover. Also big thanks to Paul a.k.a. Glueset for his support and great design works for my releases.

I've recorded twelve episodes of my »Oonops Drops«-show on Brooklyn Radio with many amazing guests from all over the globe like Mr Thing, Coldcut, Dom Servini, DJ D, DJ Thomilla (Die Fantastischen Vier), Smoove, Raedy, Karbunck Lottinger, King Most, Pim, Mitsubachi, Vansernu, KAZAHAYA, Hayassen, Di.analog, DJ Daniel W. Best, Juri, DJ Synapse, Spok, DJ Shorty82, DJ 2Shan, Baz Hickey, Laiz, Gu, DJ Elle B, Grzly Adams, Dash Dortmund, Sam Tweaks, DJ Blue Funk, DJ Catalyst, Martin Geefunk, DJ Funkaholic, Baba Diop, and Kool Herb (R.I.P.)!

Furthermore I did guest mixes for my friends of the Breakin Bread show in London and Styler Berg's Deux Heures De Phonk.

There are already lots of interesting projects in the making be that releases on my label or cool collaborations plus upcoming special announcements very soon.

Amazing weekend news: please stay tuned for a new collaboration between Nautilus' Japanese label Urban Discos (ディスクユニオン) and Oonops Drops!

This time initiated by the Japanese side, so mark this date and don't miss these two upcoming limited 7inches.

The first release is a split 7inch with Nautilus and their absolutely cool cover version of Herbie Hancock's »Chameleon« on the a-side (Urban Discos) and a super groovy cover version of Gene Harris' »Losalamitoslatinfunklovesong« on the flip (Oonops Drops). The starting signal for this project idea was the Nautilus single »Georgy Porgy« (Oonops Drops) and its b-side »Let's Stay Together« (Urban Discos).

The second release includes Nautilus' great cover version of Bobby Caldwell's »What You Won't Do For Love« featuring Ryuto Kasahara in a glorious MURO(DJ/PRODUCER) edit! Their original version is still available on vinyl in lower quantities on their current album »Pacific Voyage«.
The other side is backed with a fantastic remix by Kenichiro Nishihara of the beautiful classic »Love Theme From Spartacus«.

Finally the cassettes-version of »PACIFIC VOYAGE« by Nautilus has arrived and it looks/sounds fantastic! These are highly limited to 50 units. So be quick to get yours.

The same applies to the limited tour shirt, which we completely sold out on the tour except for two shirts in size M that just appeared in my office. These sustainable eco-tees by Stanley Stella have got a little front and one large complex back print (four layers) in using the screen printing process via Timeless Prints.

Nautilus X Oonops Drops »PACIFIC VOYAGE«-TOUR 2024

Out tour has come to an end. For now, after twelve concerts and nearly 3000km on the road. But we would like to officially announce that we'll be going on tour again, in spring 2026! And even bigger and in many more cities. Europe-wide.

But for now it's time to say good bye and thank you very much to all the wonderful people, friends and family who supported us with booking, networking, connecting, helping, visiting the concerts and giving us the strength to make this second tour possible!

Much love goes out to all the venues where we played (often with additional dj-sets) as there are HHV Records who were also our media partners, Pierre Grasse, XJAZZ and PRIVATCLUB Berlin, Basta., Backstein - Bäckerei für zeitgenössisches Brot, Knust Hamburg, Livecv Lübeck, Urban Nature Hotels, Speicher Husum, PLATZprojekt, The Hearts Hotel and Maschseefest Hannover.

Big ups to DJ and producer and graphic wizard Glueset for being on our side during the tour in many ways as well as Yole who replaced him during one gig. Also many thanks to 28 BLACK who energized us to make it through the tour and who are preparing a really cool special about Nautilus and Oonops Drops, stay tuned!

Urgent news update! 🔥🔥🔥

A few upfront copies of the highly limited pressings of the new Nautilus-7inch including a superb cover version of Leon Ware's »Why I Came To California« featuring Eki Shola (USA) & Denise M'Baye (Germany) backed with another cover version of Bobby Caldwell's »What You Won't Do For Love« featuring Ryuto Kasahara (Japan) in a bouncy Soul Supreme (Netherlands) remix have landed!

Also some CDs (with OBI-Strip) and a very few of the LPs of their brand new amazing studio album »Pacific Voyage« are with us on tour which are already available for sale (the rest is still on its way on a big palette). There will be an exclusive purple HHV Records edition (plus instore live-gig this Friday!) as well as a black and yellow OBI-strip version via Oonops Drops. All pressed on loud and crispy recycled wax. There will also be a very limited edition of cassettes which should arrive very soon.

I will set these up on Bandcamp after the tour, so please watch out. The black version of the 7inches is nearly sold out before it already hits the streets(!).

BUT: we will have a few copies with us on tour. Be quick and grab your limited (and signed) copies!

PLUS: we will have some super cool merch with us.

AND: Much love goes out to the lovely people from the #1 pressing plant Deepgrooves who did everything possible they could to get it finished on time and sent out some upfront units via express delivery today for our trip.
