Th swiss conductor Boris Brinkman brought to us the score and parts of an astonoshing Piano Trio by a completely unknown composer: Wilhelm Rohde (1856-1928). Nearly nothing can be found about Rohde and his music, but he seemed to have studied piano with Julius Röntgen, violin with Ferdinand David and composition with Ernst Friedrich Richter in Leipzig, that gave him astonoshing technique in composing as well for strings as for keys and makes the Piano Trio a demanding, but for each instrument customized piece. The work contains four movements in a classical form, but with a romantic and touching tone language.
