Music expresses what can not be said, and what it is impossible to keep silent about.” This quotation from the french writer Victor Hugo describes what has always driven Cary Crank: to find a language that is multi-layered enough to express that which moves him. Cary knew early on that music was his language. Growing up in Frankfurt, Germany, he witnessed the birth of techno live, and thoroughly immersed himself into its soundscape. Since turning to Progressive House and Melodic Techno in 2018, he released several tracks and remixes on famous labels like Univack, Mango Alley, Steyoyoke Black, Parquet Recordings, Perspectives Digital, Freegrant Music, Beatfreak Recordings, on his own label Sunexplosion and many more. His releases hit the Beatport Charts on a regular basis. In summer 2024 he had a Beatport Progressive House number one hit. The energy and analogue vibes in Cary‘s tracks are palpable, as he always travels to the core essence of a sound, and brings emotions to the dancefloor.

Huge milestone for the Sunexplosion Label! 🎉

We’re thrilled to announce that our label boss has dominated the Progressive House charts this year with an incredible THREE tracks ranking among the top 100 tracks of 2024. This is a massive achievement and we couldn’t be prouder.

Most impressively, the Remix of „Fight My Fears“ by Cary Crank and Mary Lean was the 4th best-performing track of the year on the charts! This is an incredible accomplishment for the Sunexplosion team.

A big shoutout also goes to our other talented Sunexplosion artists - G*i Barone, , and - who have all contributed to the label’s incredible success. Your musical creativity and innovation continue to push boundaries and captivate audiences worldwide.
