We are excited to have the “Sugarland Express” at Tina Fly GmbH in Bremgarten since August. It's great to be part of her story!

A familiar sight at European airshows having been primarily based in Norway for 36 years, A-26 Invader 44-34602 / N167B "Sugarland Express" has arrived in Germany at Tina Fly GmbH to start the next chapter of her life at Bremgarten. This shot is from Flying Legends 2008, her last visit to the UK, and the last time an Invader flew here until the recent visit of "Million Airess" from the US earlier this year.

"Sugarland Express" was a mainstay of the Scandinavian Historic Flight fleet until the early 2010s when she moved on to Nordic Warbirds. However, in recent years she has been undergoing prolonged maintenance, the last airshow appearance I can recall seeing was back in 2019. Initially flying in a post-war USAF scheme with red highlights, D-Day stripes were added and it was eventually changed to the yellow striped WW2 era scheme shown here, albeit without the nose art. However, following purchase by Nordic Warbirds she regained several elements of the USAF red scheme of 80s/90s, creating a retro looking warbird!

Coincidently, Europe's only other airworthy A-26 Invader was also flown into Bremgarten for maintenance not long after this one arrived, the first time two A-26 Invaders have been together in Europe since Flying Legends 2000 in the UK.

What exciting days are behind us...

Welcome Sugarland Express, and welcome back Rum & Coke!!

The A-26 expert Lars Ness first flew the "Sugarland Express" from Norway to her new home in Germany, Bremgarten (EDTG).
And as if that wasn't enough, he flew the "Rum and Coke" from Switzerland back to her old home EDTG for the annual inspection. We're keeping him busy... 😄

Now the two best and only airworthy A-26B Invaders in Europe are standing side by side in our hangar 2.
What a breathtaking and rare sight!!! 🤩

A long journey comes to an end 🩶

At the beginning of 2019, we brought our Douglas A-26 Invader from Athens, Greece to Bremgarten, Germany.
5 years of lifeblood, passion and work went into our silver lightning. Over 25,000 hours of work and a lot of support from absolute professionals have helped the machine to regain its old and new shine.

Last Saturday, we had the pleasure of delivering the beauty to its new home in Bern with smiling and crying eyes.
For the last time, we had the privilege of enjoying the impressive sight and breathtaking power during the flight.

Many thanks to all the companies involved in the restoration. Special thanks of course go to the guys from JF Aircraft, who carried out most of the restoration work.

We wish the new owner much joy and unforgettable flying hours with the "Rum & Coke".

SHE'S ALIVE 💥

This was the 1st flight after the main wing inspection and after the restoration of the engine bays.
It took way too long but it was all worth it... 32"/2100rpm = 240KIAS What a fun!!

It was only a short mission but more to follow very soon, so stay tune
