Der Deutsche Design Club (DDC) steht für gutes Design und setzt sich in Veranstaltungen und Netzwerkformaten mit aktuellen Designthemen und Trends
auseinander. Eines der vielen Veranstaltungsformate ist der DDC Salon NRW, eine offene Netzwerkplattform für DDC-Mitglieder, Interessierte und Studierende. Seit 2023 findet der regionale Salon in regelmäßigen Abständen in Düsseldorf statt.

„Lehre im Design. Zurück in die Zukunft?“
Eine Veranstaltung für Lehrende, Studierende und Profis aus der Praxis. Am 04. November 2025 findet der nächste DDC Salon NRW in Kooperation mit dem
Kompetenzzentrum Kultur- & Kreativwirtschaft (KomKuK) der Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf und der Hochschule Düsseldorf (HSD), Fachbereich Design statt. Ist die Designausbildung noch zeitgemäß? Wie stark greift die Designlehre aktuelle Themen wie Digitalisierung, Künstliche Intelligenz, Umwelt- und Klimafragen, gesellschaftlichen Wandel oder die Dynamik der heutigen Wirtschaft auf? Vor welchen Herausforderungen stehen Hochschulen und Lehrende? Wie viel Freiheit
braucht die Designausbildung – und wie viel Praxisnähe ist notwendig? Welche Kompetenzen erwarten Agenturen und Unternehmen heute von jungen Gestalter*innen? Und schließlich: Was braucht es, um die Designausbildung zukunftsfähig zu machen?
Der DDC Salon NRW geht diesen Fragen nach mit Impulsvorträgen von: Prof. Dr. René Spitz (Rheinische Hochschule Köln), Prof. Felicitas Rohden & Prof. Jantje Fleischhut (Hochschule Düsseldorf), Janine Seggewiß (Studentin Hochschule Düsseldorf), Jürgen Adolph (KMS Team) sowie Prof. Martin Breuer (AMD Düsseldorf).

Today, there would be no record of artworks, exhibitions or performances without photographic documentation, and over time, art documentation photography has become increasingly important. But what is the relationship between a work of art and its photographic reproduction? What is the difference between our natural perception of an object and the perception conveyed by photography? In an attempt to find answers to these and other questions, this book combines the findings of international photographers of art documentation with categorising scientific texts.
The layout places the ideas and conceptions of the photographers at the centre. Their answers to the same questions are large and unmissable. And it quickly becomes clear that art documentation can be „seen“ in very different ways.

Snow, ice, wind and endless expanses. That is Greenland. The exhibition ‘Eis Zeit Reise Grönland’ is a journey through the archaeology and history of Greenland. The starting point of the exhibition is the graphic novel ‘Qanga’ by comic artist .godtfredsen , who immerses the reader in the past of his homeland, Greenlandic culture and history.
