Deutsche und tansanische Perspektiven
auf eine koloniale Sammlung in Stade
Seit über 100 Jahren lagern etwa sechshundert Kulturgüter aus Tansania in Stade. Warum blieben sie so lange unbeachtet? Und wie kamen sie nach Stade?
Mit der Ausstellung AMANI kukita|kung’oa (gepflanzt|entwurzelt) präsentieren die Museen Stade erstmals Ergebnisse, Prozesse und Reflexionen eines dreijährigen Forschungsprojekts, das in Zusammenarbeit mit dem tansanischen National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) durchgeführt wurde.

Around six hundred cultural objects from Tanzania have been stored in Stade for over 100 years. Why did they go unnoticed for so long? And how did they come to Stade?
With the exhibition AMANI kukita|kung'oa (planted|rooted), the Stade Museums are presenting the results, processes and reflections of a three-year research project carried out in collaboration with the Tanzanian National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) for the first time.
