Unique Records is a label focused on the development of quality songs and songwriters in (mainly but not exclusively) Funk, Soul & dance, Electronic music of any existing kinds. We are specialized in artists & bands who dedicate themselves to both a strong dancefloor action & club attitude and audience perception. Unique Records w

as founded by DJ Henry Storch in 1988 as a home for by that time more than 15 years ago - Garage, Thrash, Beat, independent hammond bands. Between 1988 and 1993 Henry Storch put out as many as twenty 45s-singles and one album of the almost legendary Prime Movers Sins Of The Forefathers. Other acts on the label by that time included Thee Milkshakes, The Tommyknockers, The Embryonics, Heartbeats, Wylde Mammoths and others. Unique Records took a timeout as Henry Storch set up his own Unique Club venue in 1995 in Düsseldorf. The Unique Club has gained an international reputation as one of europes top leftfield dance / club venues with a similar credibility such as the Mojo Club, Into Something and the Jazz Cafe as well as the former UK Blue Note. In 2006 the club was closed. Unique Records then was re-established in 1998 with new partner Tino Stoschek, a former music journalist and musician ever since. Since then Unique Records musically strongly focuses on any genre outside house or techno: Jazz, (Nothern) Soul, Funk, Rare Groove, Latin, Urban / HipHop, DrumnBass, Leftfield Dance and especially heavy Breakbeats of all kind! The Unique Label still exists and had it's 20th anniversary in 2008! Meanwhile Unique has established The Monsters Of Funk & Soul party at the Schauspielhaus in Düsseldorf which takes place once a year. Moreover the label is involved in other events that try to deliver people a good time apart from mainstream. In 2013 and in cooperation with SCHUBERT MUSIC Publishing Unique Records established its own publishing company. Meanwhile Unique Musikverlag GmbH is happy to announce that the legendary Haldern Pop Recordings decided to start an edition and so is part of the publishing family as well.

album, "Gathering Hearts," she sublimates her ability to transform fragile honesty
straight from the heart into raw power. The result is an effervescent, dreamy sea of guitars with her usual strong, genuine lyrics.
In a unique blend of 90s Shoegaze and Indie Rock, peppered with many tender pop moments, Besch creates her own genre – Dream Grunge. She draws inspiration from legends like PJ Harvey, Courtney Love's band "Hole," and Nirvana.

reflects on her personal and artistic growth. The album explores the tragedy of
the present, personal fears, and societal fractures. Musically, it blends Dream
Pop, Indie, Psychedelia, and Disco. The “future grand dame of psychedelic
chanson” (NBHAP) is back — stronger, more present, and more personal than
ever before.
