A film team reunion at the Brauhaus🍺 in Cologne's Südstadt district - until the chairs were pulled up left and right 🥳.
10 years after the premiere of our short film "CUT" in February 2014 with memories still vivid. Working with you Peter Lemper, Tobias Blumtritt, Carlos Albuquerque , Elmar Krapp, Georg Kuhn and Daniel Städtler was an absolute pleasure and I'm really grateful for the opportunity, to be part of such a great team🏆.

A year ago, I heard for the first time about the project of "Mathmoms" in Cape Town from the fundraiser Jürgen Grosse . He is one of the supporters of this initiative, together with Thomas Peters from Stiftung Sonnenseite. Two "white old men" with big hearts ❤️❤️who have made it their mission to support the MathMoms and to publicise their work for children in townships (slums). Thomas Peters financed the film project 🎬, and Jürgen Grosse, together with Sonja Cilliers, the founder of "Mathmoms", cleared the obstacles for filming in schools and townships. They deserve a big thank you!🙏
What is special about this project? In simple terms, it's about tutoring at schools for disadvantaged children. Behind it, however, is a systemically functioning project based on charity, equality and respect. It has the potential to "heal" entire families, to give mothers the urgently needed economic knowledge and children a chance to develop their full potential.
My learning: 🤔 The way I think about you and the way I talk to you either gives you a chance or prevents it. So in order to develop potential in others, sometimes we must first make a huge shift in perspective ourselves. Take a look at "Mathmoms" in the trailer. The actor Philipp Danne 🎥, known from the ARD series: "In aller Freundschaft - die jungen Ärzte", was in Kenya 🇰🇪 with German Doctors e.V. There he visited together with Fresh.Frames the outpatient clinics and the new Rolling Clinic in Nairobi and Athi River and got to know the medical outreach in Korogocho.

Zum Ende dieses Jahres 2023 planen German Doctors die Eröffnung eines neuen Projekts im westbengalischen Distrikt Jhargram. Nur rund 190 Kilometer von der Metropole Kalkutta entfernt leben die Menschen sehr abgeschieden, deutlich unterhalb der Armutsgrenze. Die German Doctors Einsatzärztin-Nathalie Rans hat sich die Situation vor Ort gemeinsam mit Fresh.Frames angeschaut …
