Tithing Explanation,
Less I forgot, according to the bible paying of tithe was something the Lord God commanded the Israelite to be doing every 3 years and not weekly or monthly. Also tithing was instituted in accordance with the mosaic law in the Old Testament. But in the New Testament everything about tithing was made new. (Matthew 25:34-40). That was why Jesus Christ and his Disciples did not pay tithe. Because it was no longer important to be doing it as it was been done in the time of old. Again the payment of tithe did not start with Abraham as we were made to believe. Abraham did not pay tithe rather it was Abram who paid tithe to Melchizedek. We should not forgot that there is a difference between Abram and Abraham. Abram is not a covenant man but Abraham is a covenant man. Abram gave tithe to Melchizedek outside the covenant and when he became a covenant man with God and have his name changed to Abraham he never gave tithe again. (Genesis17:1-22). Moreover the bible says in Number 18; 21-31 It is only the Levites that are permitted to collecting tithe. And it is also the duty of the Levites to pay a tenth of all the Tithe he collected from the people into the tent of God. In addition, those who bring or pay tithes are also expected to participating in the eating of the tithe and not to be given to one man or women. The widows, the fatherless, the strangers in the land and the Levite are supposed to be the beneficiary of the tithes. Since you started paying tithe, have you ever participated in the eating of the tithe in the place where the Lord God have designed or chosen? Go and read all the Bible verses I gave in this write up and you will be glad indeed. God bless you in Jesus mighty name Amen. (Numbers 18:21-31), (Deutronomy 12:5-14), (Deutronomy 14:22-29) and (2Chronicles31:5-12)
