PROMOTING DOMESTIC INVOLVEMENT OF MEN👬 The world is evolving fast and same with certain assumptions about gender roles and stereotypes, especially those centering on the way we designate household chores. I am elated that the world is gradually freeing herself from the fallacy that the entire domestic operation of the household must be carried out by the woman. I personally belong to the school of thought that believes that being domestically inclined should not be gender based. A woman once told me that men should not be domestically inclined and her reason was appalling. According to her women are wired by default to do house chores and hence, freeing the men from all domestic responsibilities. Funny enough, these erroneous beliefs no longer hold water and hence the need to promote the domestic involvement of men. Yes, women are gradually freeing themselves from the shackles of 'second fiddle syndrome' and are achieving great feats and gaining prominence and I feel, the only way men could motivate their wives is by assisting with house chores. * Assisting your wife or partner with house chores does not make you less a man rather, it shows how family oriented you are. It shows the value you place on your household. *Most men don't know that when you assist your wife with house chores, it creates a special bond between you both. That unique connection that gives birth to understanding, communication and friendship. * When you assist your wife with house chores, you relief your wife of stress. Remember, excessive stress can lead to many heath problems. it's very unfair for a man to leave all the house chores for the woman especially when they both go to work and contribute equally to the running of the home. * Assist your wife with house chores to avoid her being grumpy all the time.
