Update on Vanessa – 28/01

We are so happy to share some good news today: Vanessa’s condition improved a lot! The pneumonia is almost gone, and the swelling in her hands, tongue, legs, and arms has gotten much better. Yesterday, she managed to walk for the first time with the help of a walker. It was such a big step forward and gave us all so much hope.

She’s now doing daily physiotherapy to regain her strength. However, there is still concern about her liver. We are waiting for news from the specialist this week to understand how advanced the damage is. We’re praying it will show signs of improvement too.

Unfortunately, Vanessa is still not strong enough to fly back to Germany, but we’re hopeful that it won’t be too long before she can finally return home.

While we’re incredibly grateful for the progress Vanessa has made, the hospital bills are continuing to rise. Every single donation, prayer, and share is helping us get through this challenging time.

Update Vanessa 17/01

After a very scary time, Vanessa has made some progress. She was finally able to leave her room and get some fresh air, which was a big step. She’s now able to eat, speak normally, and move her hands again. Her lungs are still not in the best condition, but she will be having more tests today to monitor her progress.
While there has been improvement, the hospital bills are accumulating rapidly. As of now, the total is 120k and this doesn’t even include the doctors’ fees yet and also all the expensive medications that we are buying outside of the hospital do minimize costs.

We’ve already raised €2,000 in donations so far, and we are beyond grateful for your love and support!

Any additional support you can provide to help with these and other costs would very appreciated as Vanessa doesn´t have Medical Insurance.

🙏As many of you know, Vanessa is going through a very difficult time right now, and we’re reaching out for help. ❤️

Since December 31, Vanessa has been hospitalized in the Philippines and recently diagnosed with a severe liver damage and pneumonia, which have made her extremely weak. She is still in the hospital, unable to eat properly, walk, or even speak easily. She needs urgent treatment to regain enough strength to fly back to Germany on a normal flight.

We are trying to raise funds to cover her medical bills and any other care she might need to stabilize her condition. Anything you can give, no matter how small, would mean the world to Vanessa and her family.

Hello everyone,
I hope this message finds you well in the new year, 2025.
We need your prayers for Vanessa 🙏❤️

Vanessa is facing a serious health challenge.
On December 31st, she was admitted to the Private Hospital in Kalibo, Philippines, after experiencing severe swelling throughout her body, which has made it difficult for her to walk, speak, or even communicate with her family. Doctors have diagnosed her with a damaged and enlarged liver.

At this time, we know she requires urgent treatment, but the specific details for the treatments we don't know yet.
Unfortunately, Vanessa is not in a condition to fly or travel back to Germany on a regular flight.

A medical transport to Germany is estimated to cost over €200,000, and her health insurance expired before everything happened.
Because of time difference we and language barrier with her Family it has been really hard to receive and repasse concrete information about her situation as we can't contact the private hospital or the doctor.

We are working on transferring her to a public hospital in Manila or Cebu if her condition allows. Her family is also making arrangements to travel to the Philippines in the coming days to be by her side.

We kindly ask for your prayers and positive thoughts as Vanessa battles this difficult challenge.
