We finished recording the vocals on Mi Estrella Mariachi featuring Amalva on lead vocals and Victor Ibanez on backing vocals. The first mix is done!

Wow, listen to Diego Pinera "Odd Wisdom" here in this snippet from his drum solo "Tormenta" that we recorded at Hot Milk Studio Berlin.

Diego is layering 3's (hihats) and 5's (bass drum) and combining this with latin rhythms on top. He's using his own special guiro sticks from Rohema and playing a Yamaha hit with Remo heads and Paiste cymbals.

One of the things I love about Hot Milk Studio Berlin's new location up in northern Berlin, is our vicinity to nature. Here's a snapshot I took of a young buck near the studio.
Clients have commented often that they find the atmosphere at the studio very relaxing yet also highly focussed. There are few of the "city-life" distractions and we really get deep into the music.

Klaus Mertens, Arne Neumann and yours truly after finishing Klaus Mertens new EP Winter in Deutschland. We used live tracking to record the bass and drums and added a guitars, keyboards and vocal overdubs afterwards. Release date will be January 10 2025.

Our Story

Hot Milk Studio is a recording studio in Berlin, Germany, operated by producer/engineer Robert Cummings. We are located in a quiet street in the central Berlin district of Kreuzberg. We offer excellent recording, mixing and mastering services at fair prices in our multi-room facility. Our hybrid approach makes use of fine analog gear and a DAW platform.

In the producer/engineer role, Robert values a collaborative and sympathetic approach to allow artists to express themselves freely and comfortably.
