Klaus Mertens, Arne Neumann and yours truly after finishing Klaus Mertens new EP Winter in Deutschland. We used live tracking to record the bass and drums and added a guitars, keyboards and vocal overdubs afterwards. Release date will be January 10 2025.

Here's a fun little jam we did to some guitar from Marc Maron's WTF podcast. Now as his fans know, Marc loves to play some ruff'n'ready rawk guitar at the end of his podcasts, Benedikt came up with the idea of taking some of his riffs and jamming to it with Leon. Being a big fan myself, it was definitely a no-brainer! We asked Marc and he gave us the go-ahead. Benedikt Stehle was at Hot Milk Studio Berlin recently to record his drum composition "Hockey Tribe" for the IIHF World Hockey Championship 2017 in Lanxess Arena Cologne. This is being used at the arena just prior to the puck drop in each game. We had a ton of fun recording and mixing this intense little jingle. Many thanks to Team Germany for upsetting USA in game one. :-) Oh and ... Go Canada Go! :-)

Our Story

Hot Milk Studio is a recording studio in Berlin, Germany, operated by producer/engineer Robert Cummings. We are located in a quiet street in the central Berlin district of Kreuzberg. We offer excellent recording, mixing and mastering services at fair prices in our multi-room facility. Our hybrid approach makes use of fine analog gear and a DAW platform.

In the producer/engineer role, Robert values a collaborative and sympathetic approach to allow artists to express themselves freely and comfortably.
