NowHere Media is an award-winning studio in Berlin crafting virtual and augmented experiences that enable audiences to view contemporary issues through a critical lens. We work with nonprofits, media organisations and brand partners to create impactful stories that inspire and engage global audiences. ights, conflict, social justice and environment. From covering war in Syria to chasing snow leopards in the Himalayas, we’re trained for productions in hostile and challenging environments. Founders Felix Gaedtke and Gayatri Parameswaran have backgrounds in journalism and believe in the power of stories to transform. As a boutique studio we value quality over quantity, and understand diversity in all its forms to be an asset. For each project, we carefully curate teams to meet specific needs for immersive design -- photogrammetry, volumetric capture, animation or multisensory installations. On Knowledge Sharing:
We care about furthering the art of immersive storytelling by empowering up and coming XR creators. That's why Felix and Gayatri regularly take up speaking and mentoring engagements for conferences, workshops and other events. Most recent examples include talks for TEDx, Women Deliver, and mentoring at Neue deutsche Medienmacher*innen and the Off-Piste Virtual Reality Storytelling Lab. We also lead an Immersive Storytelling module for the MA in Visual Anthropology course at HMKW.

Here are some standout moments from our recent co-creation trip to Puglia where we held focus group discussions in Martignano, Martano, and Zollino.

We had an insightful five days together with the rest of the REVIVE team sharing our immersive experiences, learning as much as possible from the local community, and exploring Griko cultural heritage sites! 🏛️

We can’t wait to translate these conversations and workshops into a tangible experience to help preserve and revitalise Griko culture!

The breathtaking mountains of Ladakh are home to more than just people — they hold stories shared between humans, snow leopards, and the land itself.

Our upcoming mixed reality experience, SHAN focuses on the space where these lives intersect — physically, spiritually, and metaphorically. We know we have to bring the mountains into the headset with care and precision.

Our incredible scanner, Janek Burghardt, captured the terrain through drone photography and videography. Using techniques like Gaussian splats and photogrammetry, he’s helping shape a digital environment that remains deeply rooted in the textures and reality of Ladakh.

This isn’t just a backdrop. It’s part of the story.

“SHAN | Among Humans, Saints, and Snow Leopards” is a mixed reality documentary about coexistence — between humans and snow leopards, between tradition and change, in the high-altitude mountains of Ladakh, India.

Our small crew came together in Leh, Ladakh’s capital, at 3,500m above sea level. We had all travelled long distances with gear, excitement, and a shared commitment to telling this story with care.

Before anything else, we slowed down. We took the first couple of days to adjust to the altitude and plan our journey with intention. When we had the energy, we walked Leh’s winding streets, speaking with locals, observing, learning — always conscious that this story isn’t ours, but one we’re being trusted to tell.
