Dornika (She/He) is a Gender fluid Berlin-based musician, visual artist, drag performer, and vocal coach. Born in Tehran (Iran), she migrated with her mom to the US at age 7, only to move back a few years later to Tehran. There she started her musical journey playing piano, guitar, setar and later finding her spark with singing, writing and composing.
In 2017 she moved to Berlin, where she blessed our vibrant q***r nightlife scene with her alter-ego Many Faced Godx. For many years she´s been mixing drag, music, and dance performance at renowned clubs like Berghain Kantine, Monster Ronsons, Tipsy Bear, Wilde Renate, About Blank, and festivals like CTM festival, Whole Festival, Hyperreality festival and has worked with collectives like House of Living Colors,...
Dornika's work is heavily influenced by activism, where she confronts subjects of state violence, sexism, inequality, and mental health. In 2021 she released her first single, Fatbulous, a body-positive high energy pop track celebrating traditionally shamed elements of female bodies.
