According to their latest report about the Danes' use of media, the majority of us think that audio is a better and less harmful way of consuming media compared to watching a screen.

We're not so sceptic when it comes to listening to podcasts or audiobooks for instance and it's simply more accepted throughout the population.

We're pleased to announce our collaboration with Wearesirene - a unique and personal safety device that connects you to a community of Runners, making streets and night life safer.

We've helped Sirène develop a sonic identity and create music and UX/UI sound design for their device and mobile app.

Sirène is a great example of innovative entrepreneurship based on a strong idea and is founded by the talented Camilla Højberg Pedersen, Caroline Louise Lilleørør, Kristine Skovgaard and Camilla Dalsgaard Sonne.

We can't wait to see how far Sirène will go and we're happy to have played a small part in their journey.

How does an electric car actually sound?

We took upon the task of creating bespoke sound design and voiceover to the new Škoda Enyaq campaign.

One of the challenges was to put sound to a somewhat silent vehicle and still obtain a sound mix that is true to the film’s narrative.

Besides holding a degree in Music from the University and Sonic College she is also a skilled sound designer, composer and vocalist. Mette will act as project manager across the board and help our clients safely through their sonic branding, UX/UI and other sound related projects.

Ever since we started Unmute we’ve dreamt of creating the music for , the most iconic news programme in Denmark.

And now it has happened 🎉

As part of a brand refresh and new strategy DR Nyheder has re-launched TV Avisen and added TVA LIVE, a 24h online news channel, to the mix. And we've delivered a full sonic broadcast package to it all.

The brief was simple yet challenging:

✅ Make it short and concise to fit the new standards of digital media.
✅ Make it new and fresh, but with a dimension of familiarity.
✅ Stay within the news genre, but avoid the dramatic news jingle clichés.
✅ Honour the legacy of TV Avisen through time.
✅ Be in tune with the overall sonic identity of DR.

This marks the provisional high point in our long lasting partnership with DR and especially DR Design in developing and unfolding “The Sound of DR” - and we want to thank everyone involved in this amazing project.

This year the famous McDonald's sonic logo (Ba Da Ba Ba Bah) can celebrate its 20 years anniversary. 🍔

Talk about a brand asset with staying power!

And even though it's been used non-stop globally for so long, it still feels fresh and definitely not dated - mainly due to the many clever adaptations made to match the music in each commercial.

Happy Anniversary to one of the most iconic sonic logos ever made.🎈

P.S. No, it was not written by Justin Timberlake, as many people assume. He was commissioned by McDonald's to do a single featuring the "I'm Lovin It" slogan, but the original sonic logo was created by the two German composers Franco Tortora and Tom Batoy from music production company Mona Davis.

Audio ads outperform video for attention and brand recall ✅

Amazon, Audacy, Cumulus, iHeartMedia, Spotify and SXM Media participated in a new study by Dentsu which confirms what we always suspected: Audio advertising performs better than video when it comes to grabbing attention and generating brand recall.

More than anything this highlights the importance of having a distinctive sonic identity and an intentional sonic strategy.

We're happy to present The Sound of Clever⚡ 🔌 🚘

Clever.dk is the biggest charging network in Denmark for e-mobility and one of the most exciting and visionary brands around. Unmute has been chosen as their partner, amplifying the brand's eco-friendly agenda through sound and music.

The new sonic identity embodies both innovation and sustainability and is mixing electronic elements with acoustic instruments and sounds from nature.

The result is a unique sonic palette, aligned with the Clever values and attributes and applied in both a sonic logo, music and as UX/UI sounds in apps and products - all to secure a distinctive and memorable brand experience.

Bureaubiz has been kind enough to write (in Danish) about our recent work for Union Cycliste Internationale-UCL 🚲 🎶 🎻

This project is a true milestone for Unmute and it has been a great joy to work together with the UCI team and our friends at WORKS

The new Anthem for UCI serves as the overall unifying piece of music for the whole organisation. Used across events, TV, social media, disciplines, podium ceremonies and much more it also acts as the heart of the UCI Sonic Identity.

På samme måde som Champions League-fodboldkampe har en hymne, kommer der en ny kendingsmelodi til de internationale cykelmesterskaber. Og lyden er dansk.

Iconic bank gets iconic sound 💰 🇮🇪 🎶

We're beyond thrilled to present the new sonic identity of Bank of Ireland.

With a history going back more than 200 years Bank of Ireland always needs to balance its great legacy with its ambitions for being a modern financial institute. The new sonic identity works as a catalyst for this duality and both the and the brand music refer to Irish tradition as well as the future of banking - all inspired by the word "begin" as the overarching message from Bank of Ireland.

We look forward to the roll-out and want to thank Ann Cromie, Anne Mulcahy, Richard Waring, Dawn Bailey and the rest of the team for a great collaboration.
