sailormenx (she/her) is the Berlin-based DJ avatar of Sun MengXuan, Digital Artist, and Co- Founder of AN(8)X. She graduated as Meisterschülerin of the Department of Media and Art at the University of the Arts Berlin. She weaves immersive narratives that dissolve the boundaries between mythology, technology, emotion and imagination. Her practice spans audiovisual performances, VR/AR installations, and experimental video works, transforming game engines and real-time visuals into poetic instruments of storytelling. Her creations illuminate the fragile entanglement of virtual and physical realities, envisioning futures carved from digital legacies, coded identities, and the lingering echoes of cultural memory.

Drawing inspiration from Chinese mythology, science fiction, and ritualistic traditions, Mengxuan reimagines human relationships with technology through symbolic, surreal lenses. With a style that balances soft vulnerability and sharp critique, her art invites viewers into reflective worlds filled with both elegance and chaos, encouraging a deeper look at humanity’s evolving relationship with technology and culture.

💥🔊🐉SOUND OF THAILAND WITH 🐉🔊💥

(he/him) is from Bangkok, Thailand. He started making visual arts and music in 2014 and is interested in music in different media environments. He uses a variety of inspirations in his songs, such as historical events, synthetic sounds, and musical instruments. In 2016, the album “Black Country” began to be prepared. In this album, Pisitakun is talking about a country full of dialogues between dark voices.
As Thai history currently unfolds under martial law following the military coup d’état on 22 May 2014 – the thirteenth since the end of the absolute monarchy in 1932 – Pisitakun’s practice represents a decisive break from many of his Thai peers: he questions fundamental and increasingly universal values without merely decrying the fact of corruption or offering neat palliatives.

Pisitakun’s works are based on political speculation and the external and internal frustrations artists are subject to.

On the 1st of Feb, Pisitakun will be bringing the ceremonial sounds of Thailand, featuring the Kean, a traditional instrument from Northeast Thailand and Laos. The Kean is used in ceremonies that mark every significant event in life, from birth to death, or events like Lunar New Year. The Kean’s sound serves as a bridge between the living and the departed, connecting the realms of the living and the spirits.

Come celebrate with us at laundromat Berlin this Saturday ✨. THIS EVENT IS FREE 🤝 Move into the new year with us 🐉 🗓️ with from 20:00-21:00 ( at 19:00-20:00 and at 18:30-19:00, daytime sounds curated by during our workshops)

(she/her) is the garbled moniker of Jin Jing, multimedia artist and co-founder of .core.
Pervaded by syncopated rhythms, dimensional changes, visceral sounds and soul-gripping melodic elements, her selections are often toying with unfathomable feelings and tensions.

Like an infernal machine devoted to surpassing limits and mutates with each newly unveiled musical landscape, kjjabber reinforces layers of perception and plays with short attention spans behind the decks, constantly hinting at the beginnings of an enchanting climax that never arrives, to keep the listener under control and better drown them at will.

🍗🍘🫔 SATURDAY’S MENU 🫔🍘🍗

Lumpiang Shanghai - if you’ve ever been to a Filipino Party there’s a pretty good chance you are familiar with Lumpia! Lumpiang Shanghai is a staple dish in Filipino cuisine. As the name is already telling, is this our version of the classic springroll - wich represent wealth for the new year.

Fried Chicken - Chicken is a homophone for ji or 吉, meaning “good luck” and “prosperity,” making it a popular choice for any celebration, not just during Chinese New Year.

Okoy - the name Okoy comes from Hokkien “ō+kuè”, meaning “cake made from taro”. Our okoy made with vegetables are representing spring, renewal, energy and progress, symbolising the Lunar New Year, also known as the spring festival.

Tikoy - are sticky glutinous rice cakes! It’s stickiness is believed to unite people - as a metaphor for friendships and familial bonds, this dish is a lucky food to share at the table or to gift your loved ones!

Buchi - the filled sesame balls round shape symbolises unity and completeness in chinese tradition and are a well loved snack in both Chinese and Filipino Chinese communities.

Fruit platter - In Lunar New Year traditions, it is believed tangerines, oranges and pomelos bring good fortune. Their Mandarin names echo words with symbolic meanings: “jú” for oranges suggests “good luck” or “fortune,” “chéng” for tangerine is akin to “success,” and “youzi” for pomelos sounds similar to “have” or “abundance.” To share fruits is to share blessings!
