Many people asked us about the preliminary starting lists for the sport tests at the World Championships 2019. They are now here under PREL available:

Icelandic Horse World Championships are nothing without the work our volunteers put into setting things up and helping visitors. Whether that work is making food for the volunteers and riders, helping the shopkeepers, cleaning the facilities, keeping the area secure, checking the horses, cleaning the track and the tribunes, or posting things on Facebook and Instagram...All nearly 500 of them made sure WM2019 was a success! Thank you all for being here with all your enthusiasm and passion for the Icelandic horse, and see you in Herning!

WM2019 is over. A total of 18 gold medals (and thus world championship titles), 18 silver medals and 20 bronze medals were awarded. The medal table leads .... ... again Germany with 14 medals in total, 5 of them gold medals. Iceland has 7 World Champions, but only 12 medals in total.

We say congratulations to all winners and placed!

Of course the celebrations yesterday didn't end with just prizes for the many new World Champions. Three more prizes were given away that we didn't want you to miss out on:

The Feather prize, which aims to encourage good riding and good horsemanship, went to Icelandic rider Jóhann R. Skúlason, and German rider Bernhard Podlech. Congratulations, Jóhann and Bernhard!

The Team Prize was awarded to Iceland, congratulations to all!

And congratulations to the organisation of WM2019, which was also awarded a prize for their efforts in organising such an enormous and successful event!

Icelandic rider Jóhann R. Skúlason riding Finnbogi frá Minni-Reykjum is the World Champion V1 with 7.97. He is also the winner of the Four Gait Combination with 16.33. Congratulations, Jóhann!

And German Young rider Franziska Mueser riding Spölur frá Njarðvík scored 7.30 and is the Young Rider World Champion V1! She is also the winner of the Four Gait Combination with 14.63. Congratulations, Franziska!

German Young Rider Helen Klaas riding Víf van ´t Groote finished the P2 100m with 7.48", making her Youth World Champion. Congratulations, Helen!

Icelandic rider Konráð Valur Sveinsson riding Losti frá Ekru won the P2 100m with the fastest time of 7.35", making him the World Champion. Congratulations Konráð!

The B-Finals for F1 were ridden, and Danish rider Agnar Snorri Stefánsson riding Bjartmar fra Nedre Sveen is through to the A-Finals with a 7.40. Congratulations, Agnar!

The A-finals will be ridden on Sunday at 13:45.
