Is there a difference between Fashion and Beauty Models?
Fashion models and beauty models are two different types of models who work in the modeling industry.
Fashion models are usually used to showcase clothing and accessories at fashion shows, photo shoots, and other fashion-related events. They are usually tall, slim and have a unique look that can effectively show off the clothes they wear. Fashion models usually have a good gait and can pose well in front of the camera.
Beauty models, on the other hand, advertise beauty products and services i.e. skin care, makeup and perfume. They have flawless skin, an attractive face that fits the common beauty stereotype, and a charming personality. Beauty models may also appear in advertisements for hair products or other beauty items.
Of course, there is overlap in the skills required for each type of modeling, but fashion models tend to focus on presenting clothing and accessories, while beauty models tend to advertise beauty-related products and services.
