Meet DYSHAT (To Breathe from Russian) is the ethno hip-hop project of a singer-songwriter Gulnaz Shakirova from the city Kazan in Tatarstan Russia.
Gulnaz works as a teacher-choreographer at the Dance Art Fam. She writes poetry, songs, creates music and makes videos. She started DYSHAT in 2018.
DYSHAT experiments with Tatar language, modern hip-hop and contemporary dance.
Creating a distinctive style that embraces influences from the East and West, DYSHAT is a fresh voice in contemporary world music.
