In spring 1990 – between the fall of the Berlin Wall and German reunification – the first former GDR citizens fly to Mallorca. Mallorca is a place of longing for many East Germans, known to them from their West German relatives’ colourful postcards. Suddenly, anything seems possible.

Sky like silk. Full of oranges is a creative and wonderful animated documentary film; a collage of postcards, holiday photos and documents. We can't wait to share this beautiful work from Betina Kuntzsch with you this upcoming Wednesday and have a chat with her during our screening.

They relax, do movement exercises, and are given the task of writing a documentary poem. As they begin with their writing process, they are unexpectedly interrupted by a stranger who is actually looking for a flat.

The talented Eva Pedroza and F***y Sorgo bring us the film Tako Tsubo. It tells us the story of Mr. Ham who decides to have his heart removed in order to be relieved of his complicated feelings. We're sure some of us can relate to this in one way or another :)

Dear Osman draws on private letters sent to Silivri Prison by friends and family of Osman Kavala. By separating voice and image, the film intends to create an echo chamber that allows audiences to listen more carefully to the letters, while at the same time placing the words in context of a civil society.
