We are happy to welocme to the community for the current residency.

A sonic virtuoso in the studio and a chaos creator on the dancefloor, embarked on his DJ journey in 2001. Swiftly transitioning to studio production, he garnered international recognition in Hardcore and became a fixture at major festivals, particularly in the Netherlands.
D-Leria start in 2014 releasing a series of EPs that served as a canvas for his evolving musical style. This transformative period also saw him take on dual roles as an artist and manager at , where he curated a space for avant-garde talents with a focus on authentic live recording.
During his five years in Berlin he drafted meticulously his debut album, ‘Driving to Nowhere.’ The result was a sonic masterpiece that quickly captivated the attention of electronic music luminaries. He also released on Avian, Semantica, NonSeries, AuraDinamica. Over the past year, his live set has resonated internationally, from Berlin to Tbilisi, Amsterdam and Medellin, unfolding a new performative artistic journey.

“ During the loan residency period with Schertler Audio equipment, invited by ACXS to contribute to their community, I found very deep moment to “swim” into sound and tracking some of my little studio/office instruments.
The most precious characteristic of this time of composition and process was the will to configure something like “rough”, or not necessarily “brilliant” or established as clean or “professional” recordings.
Being what I usually do and where Iʼm often based at making music, even donʼt care too much about a pre-amp ‘bssʼ self-noise or cable cracking, but instead these become real interesting facets for electroacoustic music, or basically my research.
So, having had such great gear was helpful in creating and craving refined material! So, Iʼm more than glad and happy for this chance to work with that. Thank you, Livia. “

In the mystique of the Schertler mixer, JacqNoise embarked on a sonic odyssey, crafting a sample pack akin to a club-like weapon. Its metallic resonance and deep textures held the promise of aural revelations. The Demo track, made in collaboration with Giotto, introduced a sonic landscape that deftly captured the hearts of both techno and electro enthusiasts.

Jacky aka JacqNoise, part of the collective Berlin Modular Society, gets the outer glitchy out of her modular case. She patch diy gear together to deconstructing sounds in order to understand the symphony and the themes that are reflected in it. Irish roots producer Giotto Beattz has been nesting in Berlin for some years, playing live drums with Braintheft and also working with Badkat on a bass heavy hip hop duet and many others collaborations.

"OE" by Valentin Ginies

Morphing overtone percussions, lush hihats with a pulsating bassline and tweaky resonances. OE was recorded in his studio in Berlin using Silver Machine Re-Enigiser, Vermona Perfourmer, Octatrack and effect chains routed into the Schertler mixer. The spring reverb adding a unique texture to each sound. Included in the sound pack is a combination of single shots, loops and the stems of the track.

NEXT ON ACXS A veteran of the post-punk and industrial scenes, modular synthesizer enthusiast Drew McDowall has contributed to groups such as Coil and Psychic TV in addition to releasing solo material. His otherworldly electronic textures greatly helped shape the sound of Coil's quietly groundbreaking releases during the 1990s and 2000s. McDowall went solo at the urging of Long Distance Poison's Nathan Cearley, who invited him to perform at one of the quarterly Modular Solstice concerts in 2012. McDowall then became very active as a solo performer, and in 2015, Dais Records issued his debut solo full-length, Collapse.

Created in collaboration with Joss Turnbull on Tombak. sound library of Rabih Beaini consists of a wide range of sounds split in two parts: the first one contains a collection of sounds coming from Rabih's custom built instrument based on a guitar amp and using a clutch cable. The sounds range from bowed to plucked, hits and scratches. The second part of the library contains Tombak sounds by Joss Turnbull, using quite innovative techniques and providing strange sounds from his years of experimentation on the percussive instrument.

Producer, Dj, live performer and label owner of Mannequin Records Alessandro Adriani presents his sample pack “Coldbringer”. He was diving deeper into his synth arsenal abyss, creating unique dark drums tones, EBM baseline loops and eerie synth sounds. Adriani distinctively draw towards the dark and obscure. You can hear this approach amongst the long, drawn-out mixes of his eclectic DJ sets and in the soudiness of his production.

The loan period with the Schertler Arthur format 48 modular mixer is over, and I’m ready to fine-tune all the sounds I’ve recorded for the sample pack - my very first!
This project stimulated my creativity in a moment where I was a bit lost with my music and it definitely gave me a new drive for my next productions. Thanks and 💙 glad to be part of the community
