Im maroden Mietshaus am Stadtrand versorgt die neunjährige Gina (Emma Lotta Simmer) nicht nur ihre kleinen Brüder (Lion & Nino Tatzber), sondern auch ihre schwangere Mutter Gitte (), will aus Gittes On-Off-Freund () endlich einen richtigen Vater und aus Gittes Mutter ( ) eine liebevolle Oma machen. Gina kämpft gegen Hoffnungslosigkeit, Verwahrlosung und das Jugendamt (.strauss), für das Baby in Gittes Bauch und für sich selbst.
Ein weibliches Drei-Generationen-Porträt aus der Sicht eines Kindes, das sich nicht damit abfinden will, dass das Schicksal einzig davon abhängt, wo man hineingeboren wird.

Chris Kraus eröffnet die 57. Internationalen Hofer Filmtage 2023 mit seinem Film "15 JAHRE"

Was für ein Wiedersehen! Die Internationalen Hofer Filmtage präsentierten 2006 den fulminanten Film VIER MINUTEN von Chris Kraus. Erzählt wird die Geschichte der rebellischen Jenny von Loeben, die im Gefängnis mit Hilfe der greisen Pianistin Traude Krüger, gespielt von Monica Bleibtreu, ihr Klavierspiel zur Virtuosität bringt. Der Film wurde ein internationaler Kino- wie Festivalerfolg.

Die 57. Internationalen Hofer Filmtage präsentieren nun mit 15 JAHRE die Fortsetzung zur Eröffnung. Gemeinsam mit der Hauptdarstellerin erzählt Chris Kraus von der genialen und feinsinnigen Jenny nach ihrer Entlassung aus dem Knast.

On the afternoon of June 12th, the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival's main competition section entry "The Chapel" had its screening and audience meet-up. Director Dominique Deruddere, lead actress Taeke Nicolai, and producer Bart Van Langendonck were present to interact with fans and share their understanding of the film.

We are happy to announce that ALMA & OSKAR by Dieter Berner and FIRST SNOW OF SUMMER by Chris Raiber will be part of the EUROPE ON SCREEN Film Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia taking place from 16-25 June.

Europe on Screen (EoS) is the oldest international film festival in Indonesia. First held in 1990 under the name "European Film Festival", the second edition followed in 1999, and since 2003 the festival has been an annual event under the current name Europe on Screen. The festival primarily screens high quality films from European Union (EU) countries and other participating European countries with representatives in Indonesia. The program includes film screenings and other film-related events such as workshops, discussions, competitions, exhibitions, open-air screenings, and more. Most of the screenings and events take place in cultural centers and are supported by educational institutions, alternative cinemas and other venues.

SENECA by Robert Schwentke. As the foster father and mastermind of Nero, Seneca is instrumental in the rise of the self-indulgent young tyrant. The philosopher, known for his great speeches on renunciation and clemency, is himself one of the richest men in ancient Rome. But when one day the student tires of his teacher, Nero orders Seneca to kill himself. Is the latter ready for an honorable su***de, or is there still some time left for some philosophical debauchery and sharp-tongued lessons?

The screenplay for “Seneca” is by Schwentke and Matthew Wilder. Other cast include Lilith Stangenberg, Julian Sands, Alexander Fehling, Andrew Koi, Samuel Finzi and Wolfram Koch. The producers are Frieder Schlaich, Irene von Alberti and Annegret Weitkämper-Krug. The lead production company is Filmgalerie 451. The co-producers are Gretchen Film, Kasbah Films and ZDF/Arte.

THE PEACOCK by Lutz Heineking Jr. When investment banker Linda Bachmann and her team arrive at the country estate of Lord and Lady McIntosh for a team building seminar, the prospects for having a relaxing weekend in Scotland are not good: the annual balance sheet is lousy, the team is keeping a suspicious eye on each other and their boss, and there are rumors that a compliance officer will soon be restructuring the department. To make matters worse, the estate is not very comfortable – even the skilled cook Helen can’t hide that fact – and the methods of young seminar leader Rebecca also seem rather questionable. When the Lord’s favorite peacock and the Lady’s favorite goose disappear, further quarrels and chaos are inevitable.
