Dear colleagues, I would like to ask for your opinion. As an author, I have many unfinished titles that I am currently unable to publish due to financial constraints. These include Cerambycidae Europe / Palearth, Cerambycidae Neotropic, Dorcadionini, the genus Rosalia, Carabidae Middle Europe, and Carabini, among others. Another factor contributing to this situation is the decreasing demand for high-quality but more expensive entomological books. Unfortunately, the electronic versions of these books are also economically unsustainable. The paths I am considering are:
Self-publishing through small print runs using digital printing, cheaper bindings, and paper. Collaborating with sponsors (acknowledgments, logos, etc.).
I would appreciate any ideas on how to move forward in this situation. Thank you, Vladimir Štrunc Insect-Book
PS: Rest assured - I will be publishing Tiger Beetles of Orient later this year.
