Editorial Board Meeting – Journal of Forest Science

The Editorial Board Meeting of the Journal of Forest Science took place this Wednesday, November 27, 2024, as an online video conference with the participation of its Czech as well as foreign members. The members were informed about the current status of the journal – the number of articles in the review process, as well as the articles accepted for the next issues of the journal, the most cited articles in the last two years, the statistics showing the numbers of received and accepted manuscripts, and also the development of citation indices.

A clearly positive trend can be observed in the development of citation indices and it can be expected that the Impact Factor of the journal will continue to grow in the future. The significant share of Czech authors among the articles published this year was mentioned, which indicates the growing popularity of the journal in the scientific community within the Czech Republic and its ability to produce high-quality scientific outputs, but at the same time, articles from other areas of European forestry continue to be welcome. In conclusion, the personal commitment of the members of the Editorial Board and their help in the development of the journal were appreciated.
