📽LiveGrain Presentation in PFX Cinema Hall

🌎 Staying ahead of the curve is key in the world of color grading. Yesterday, we invested in our skills by attending a LiveGrain presentation.

💫 LiveGrain is one of the most advanced texture mapping systems in the world.

💫 What it does is to dynamically analyze your digital footage and apply multi-dimensional film texture to it depending on the film stock of your choice. They have over 50 film stocks in library, including Super 8, 16mm, 35mm, and 65mm, covering different eras.
💫 Instead of changing colors (like LUTs), they focus solely on emulating the textural depth of film. This process has obvious advantages over traditional film processing, as it can be applied and changed at any time. It does not affect the colors.

💫 Chosen by director Martin Scorsese and DP Diego Prieto for the TV show Vinyl ten years ago, it has since been used in shows and films such as Beetlejuice, Sh**un, and House of the Dragon.
