This tunnel kiln is used for glost firing of tableware. It features an automatic transportation system in order to heat the ware continuously. The ware is preheated by hot air injection and uses preheated combustion air. This is why our tunnel kiln saves 35% of energy in comparison to conventional kilns!

The key control feature of this kiln is that it can be shut down over a work-free weekend and then simply started up again on Monday morning. After just 2 h, the selected temperature and atmosphere profile is reached, although at this point there is no ware in the firing zone.

Today we are making some firing tests with our rotary tube kiln, which has a maximum burning temperature of 1370°C. Since it does not require kiln furniture, energy costs can be reduced substantially!

Our shuttle kiln is fitted for heavy and large settings. Furthermore, it has an extremely durable kiln lining as well as an outstanding temperature balance. It is used for firing aluminum oxide.

The shuttle kiln is closed on both face ends by lifting doors. A wear-free door seal guarantees 100-% sealing of the lifting doors with the kiln casing.
